Exercising daily and washing hair every 2 weeks!

Is it nasty if I \only wash my hair every 2 weeks, even though I exercise daily (5/6 days per week).

I keep my (natural) hair cornrowed most of the time, b/c I wear wigs.

I don't feel like braiding my hair every week (I know I'm lazy), so I want to know if you think it's a bad idea to wash my hair only every 2 weeks. With one of those being a henna application/deep condition and the other shampoo diluted with conditioner and then a deep conditioner.

What yall think?

Is that nasty?

If it's nasty, then I guess I'm nasty b/c that's what I do. I exercise five days a week, and I wash my hair every two weeks. My hair can't take too much manipulation, so washing everytime I exercise is a no-go for me.

After I undo my twist-out, I braid my hair & wear my wig until wash day arrives. I spray my hair w/ JC Revitalizing Leave-In & a generous helping of JC Hair Nourishing Cream, so my hair stays moisturized. I also spray my scalp w/ the leave-in & moisturize my ends everyday.

Pink- there are several people here that wig it out and simply wash and DC their hair while it is in braids and/or twists.

It depends on the person. I run 3 to 4 times a week and I cowash everytime. I am not in braids or twists I just cowash and bun. My scalp would be screaming bloody murder if waited two weeks for water to touch it. Plus I'd be self conscious about a potential smell coming from my hair...

I work out 4-5 times a week and only wash once a week. However after every work out I spray Ojon Revitalizing mist on my hair and scalp and then massage it in. My hair smells clean and doesn't get dried out.

do you sweat a lot? i guess some people can get away with it, but i'm definitely not one of those. my thinking is, like others have mentioned, that the salt from sweat can definitely dry out your hair.

have u thought about maybe a different protective style under your wig since u don't want to cornrow weekly?
