Excited about my new Dabur products!

I just received my Vatika and Amla oils in the mail today. And I am so excited to be able to try them out. Indian oils users, can you give me some tips for using my new products? Do you use them for daily moisture or for an oil treatment? Also, discuss how these products work for you. I am going to do a CO wash tonight and I plan on using my new stuff afterward. /images/graemlins/bdance.gifdoin the happy dance!

I massage some Vatika oil onto my scalp and hair 2-3 times per week after a conditioner wash. You can definitely use it as you would any other oil.

Me and the amla oil don't get along too well. It's scent is too strong for me. I'm trying to use up what I have left in my amla powder treatments.

HTH!

Let me know how you like them. I'm waiting for mine to get here also. My hair is in cornrows now, but I'll be trying them as soon as I take my hair down.

SVT you're right about the Amla. It is stinky. I used it as a pre-CO wash oil treatment and it left my hair VERY soft. I don't know about letting that stuff stay in my hair during the day, though. The vatika was nice, too. We'll see how my hair does tomorrow when it's dry.

It makes a great hot oil treatment. Also use it to oil my hair and scalp after washing. It is susposed to prevent gray hair. I usually pluck grays out, but since I started to use the Amla oil I don't see anything to pluck.

As for the smell, try mixing it with some other oil (like BB Oil It Up) to cut the smell. Sometimes, I actually ,like the heavy floral scent. /images/graemlins/ill.gif

I use the Dabur Vatika oil just like regular oil- I just mix it with a bit of shea and apply to my hair to lock in moisture. My hair loves it and its very strenghthening. I think its light enough that it shouldn't really weight your hair down which is another plus. Haven't tried the amla oil but let us know what you think of it!

For the Amla oil, I usually just let it soak in my scalp/hair overnight before shampooing the next day. HTH

So amla is supposed to keep hair from turning grey. I wonder how? Anyway, I love the way Amla makes my hair feel, but the strong smell (kind of floral but with a hint of food smell) will prevent me from leaving it in unless I mask it like Gigi said.
Vatika, so far so good. Although it's hard getting the product out of the skinny bottle neck.

I keep my Vatika oil in the bathroom. The heat from the shower is enough to melt the chunks. Other times, I run hot water over the outside of the bottle to melt the chunks.

HTH!

I have both products and I like the Vatika oil the best I use it has a pre hot oil treatment and after co washes.

Where did you ladies purchase these oils???? I have three strands of grey hair and I don't want anymore so if this will help I want to try it, plus I'm interested in the other benefits of these oils.

Can you purchase these oils in a store because the the shipping for purchasing these two items from www.qualityspices.com is the same price as the two products combined /images/graemlins/blush.gif . Anyone from New York can tell me where I can purchase these in a store.

When i read the back it said that it will eventually darken hair if u use it often. I think it darkens hair because it has henna in it?
