Hello Ladies I am new to this site but I feel like I have know each of each pretty well already. I am been looking through this site for some time now and I must say I am totally delighted by all the beautiful Black Sista's who are well educated on our ethnic of hair and and hair products that are available that will help our hair be as healthy as it can be. I have always been one to take pride in my hair and I have always been known to spend lots of money on my hair because I would want my hair to look nice. I have had braids, weave, relaxers, coloring, cuts and none of them have actually fully satisfied me. Since I have joined this site I am so excited for the first time in my life about my hair. I am so educated now on what to do with my hair to allow it to grow in a healthy way. You ladies talked about all type of hair products on this site but there is one specific that stuck with me and that is the Nexxus products. I went out and bought just about the whole line of products. I have the Therapee, Humatress, Headress, Keraphix, Epitome, Botanic Oil. I have the Motion Moisture Silk Protein Conditioner, Ceramic Iron, Hooded Dryer, Wide Tooth Comb, Satin Wrap, Carrot Oil, Kera Care hydrating Detangling Shampoo, Kera care Dry and Itchy Scalp Shampoo and some other stuff. Last night I relaxed my hair with Optimum Care Relaxer and rinsed for 25-30 minutes, I put in my Motions Silk Protein and kept that in there for 5 minutes with a plastic bag on, I then used the neutralizing shampoo that came with optimum, and then I used the nexxus Shampoo, and then followed with the Nexuss Humetress conditioner and put a special bag over my head to generate some heat, I rinsed it out and used the headdress by nexxus which is leave in conditioner and I blow dried on cool heat and flat ironed with my ceramic iron and my hair is so so so strong,,, I want to thank you ladies for everything you have done for me I am looking forward to washing and conditioning and using protien in my hair for long lasting results.

Thank You , Thank You , Thank You

Welcome :newbie:. I am happy that you found something that works great for your hair  I have resisted the urge to try Nexxus products, but I know one day I am gonna fold.

I'm happy that you are more educated and enlightened about your hair. I hope you continue to get good results. Congratulations!

Quick question ladies

I noticed after I blow dried my hair seemed a little course on the ends but not at the root, but when I flat ironed everything was cool.. I know I rinsed out all the relaxer but I did not do the reconstructure that came with the relaxer because I used the motions moisture silk protein. Ansy suggestions why my hair felt this way.. By the way it is super strong,, I have been combing it and only 4-5 hairs would fall out but it is very strong

Welcome :newbie: Black Sista. I hope you find our information helpful. I was just wondering whatkind of regimen are you going to start. What vitamens you are interested in to help with the growth of your hair. Are you going to sign up for any of the challenges that are going on. Sorry if I am flooding you with alot of questions. These are some of the top questions that most newbies ask about.

I also want to welcome you to the world of PJism aka product junkie . Just one word of advice try to stick to products that have worked for you in the past and also try new products but just dont go broke trying them.

I have to be sure to keep my ends moisturized, oil seems to work great for me.

Hi Complexity

Let's see if I can answer your question in order :)

My regimen is going to be to wash every week with the Nexxus Therapee shampoo and let it penetrate for 3-5 minutes, Then I will condition with the Nexxus Humatress Conditioner for 10-15 minutes and then rinse. I will then use the Nexxus Headress leave in conditioner and then go under a hooded dryer or air dry or cool blow dryer and then put a dime size amount of the Botanic oil on hair and then flat iron and wrap and put a satin scarf on and that will be one style for the week. I plan on using the Nexsus Keraphix once a month. I have purchased flexirods from Sally beauty supply so I have to try that after my shampoo, condition, leave in conditioner, and of course use a setting lotion for the flexirod set and then go under a dryer. I have contemplated Braid out or twist out but don't know how to quite do them yet, I am still looking on this site for some direction. I have thought of using John Frieda ripple effect also just to keep some heat off my head. Now far as relaxing I plan on relaxing once every 3 months. after I rinse out my relaxer I use the Motions Moisture silk protein conditioner and leave that on under a plastic cap for 5-7 minutes I will wait until my second wash after a relaxer to do my protein conditioner which is the keraphix and I will sit under a dryer for 15-20 minutes with that... I then will do the shampoo, conditioner under a thermal plastic cap and rinse and then leave in conditioner, and botanic oil.. I am open to any suggestions on my regimen... I don't know what vitamins to take so I am open to that, I also am very interested in some challenges you ladies have going but so far this is it this is what I will be doing for the time being...:)
