Is there a difference between extra virgin olive oil and regular olive oil? Does one penetrate the hair better than the other? I usually use EVOO but now I'm wondering if just the regular stuff would work just as well (it's cheaper ;) plus i like to use the EVOO to cook...

i usually use it as a pre-poo, warm it up and apply to hair and scalp... then put on hot turban and plastic cap for 15 minutes before shampooing...

For hair purposes, I don't think so. I can tell a difference in flavors when I cook with evoo and regular oil though.
