Everything You\'ve Ever Wanted To Know About....

HAIR COLOR!!!! I found this wonderful website by Clairol:

It has all kinds of information about hair color. In fact, if you have Shamboosie's book, you will see why he is a Clairol Color Consultant. A lot of the information on this site echoes the stuff he says in the book.

However, this site has tons of information. I must have spent close to an hour and a half reading thru it.

You have to "join" the site to get to ther REAL goodies, though. Including RECIPES for doing your own hair color techniques! It tells you what to buy to get the effect and how to mix it and apply. (I'm sure this is geared to hair professionals, but hell, I'm trying one of the recipes anyway!) /images/graemlins/grin.gif

BTW, Clairol is the company that makes Jazzing and Textures & Tones (featured on the site). These are the hair color products that Shamboosie recommends--especially for relaxed hair.

Let me know what you think. I'll be coloring my hair in the next couple of weeks and I'll post my results when I do.

I love this site. I found a lot of helpful info there that helped me finally get coloring right. I actually found it before Shamboosie's book since I've always been a Jazzing fan. The book helped me understand how being relaxed tied in with coloring. Glad you are finding out everything you need to know.

Please keep up posted on your coloring results (you'll need 2 or 3 boxes of color with all your hair bTW - I needed two and I've have WAY less hair than you densitywise). What color are you looking to go? Have you decided yet? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks Blkmane!!! I found this site a few weeks ago but like an idiot, I forgot to bookmark it. The next time I dye my hair, I'm going to try the info I learned from that site along with the techinques I learned from watching a Makeover Story!!
