So I haven't been purposely stretched, but due to being busy and whatever I haven't relaxed since January. I did relax this weekend.

When I came to work I was asked why did I perm my hair and haven't I seen the GOOD HAIR movie. LMAO

I have to stop the creamy crack or all my hair gonna be gone. Lol

These MEN are gonna freak if I chop chop.

So you haven't relaxed in 3 months and people thought you were completely natural and that after this 3 month hiatus your healthy relaxed hair is going to fall out cause the Good Hair movie said so? You work with some bright light bulbs right there :lol:

:lol: if your hair hasn't been falling out in clumps all this time you've been relaxing, I highly doubt it will now. Your hair is obviously healthy. It's like when someone asks what products you use and then they screw up their face and be like, "Your hair won't grow if you use that." Obviously it works for me! lol

People are ridiculous about this whole natural/ relax hair debate. I remember one time at work, me & two other coworkers were talking about hair & our reggies. Then all of a sudden they start saying how relaxers are soooo bad, ur trying not to be black, natural is better , relaxed hair is unhealthy etc.. now at the time i was texlax, but they thought I was natural. So their asking me all types of questions on how I care for my hair, giving me all types of compliments, writing down my suggestions ; still under the impression that I was natural. So towards the end of our discussion, I nonchalantly mentioned that I was relaxed. Man, their whole entire attitude changed towards me. They seemed embarrassed, cause what they said was total BS.

There are people out there in the world with healthy relaxed hair. I don't know why people have a hard time believing that this notion exists

@CodeRed & @leona2025 I'm just amazed that the fellas SAW the ChickFlick (movie) AND that they RETAINED anything from it.

^^I'm so glad this board exists because people are ****ing strange about black women's hair. It is kinda uncomfortable to be honest. Like get out of my scalp. And now with social media, other races seem to think they know about our hair.

It's already annoying when black people fuss over hair, but please don't even open your mouth to me about my hair unless you are black with more than 2 inches of kinky curly wooly hair coming out of your scalp, process or unprocessed. Maybe a pass for those with biracial children. It's annoying. You are not part of the black women's hair club.

I bun everyday! lol except the week after a fresh relaxer. Lol they all say I seem sassy when my hair is straight lmao. It's longer than it used to be. SadlyI work in a very conservative company and the colored hair is a no no.

@Harina,

The recent need to discuss hair came about when I started wearing wigs.nI don't know what has given people in general (all races) the freedom to discuss hair. I don't even care to discuss hair with black women because honestly, the conversations are pointless. The dumb question I hate -- what have you done to your hair. You know good and well what I've done -- it's a wig so why ask. If you like it, say it, if not, keep it pushing and leave me be.

Just last week I said this to some other race ppl -- effective immediately, my hair will no longer be a topic of discussion. I don't ask you about your hair so don't ask me about mine. A hush fell over the crowd and they've kept it brief since then -- they'll say, I like your hair with no further commentary and that's just how I prefer it.

Why they play so much. I've only received that question once and I look and keep it moving I don't have time to entertain foolishness.

Do you take it out every night. Do you use a donut?

@Lilmama1011 I don't use a donut. I take it down everyday lol. Soon as I get off from work. I sleep in a bonnet. My bun looks similar to this. Lol I always feel like an old lady with this bun so I try to jazz up my bangs lol
