Ever been in a relationship with

I dated an Asian dude years ago, that was my worst relationship ever, I have tried so hard to forget the details.
 
I went to school in an area with both a lot of Filipinos and a few HBCUs, so there were several inevitable unions formed from that environment. Most were Filipina/Black male, but I do recall a few Black girls with Filipino boys.

If the fellow is the son of recent immigrants and grew up in an area with lots of other Filipinos, he probably has absorbed a lot of the culture, which in IMO has more in common with some African and Caribbean cultures than some of the Northeast Asian cultures, for example, do. Believe it or not, disparate peoples can really bond over things like weather/climate, foods, etc. that they share in common.

ON the other hand, there is still the problem in much of the Philippines of an obsession with skin-lightening and slimness, so I would hope that he wouldn't have absorbed those aspects of his family's national culture!

*** keeping in mind that a lot of children of immigrants and even immigrants themselves are just as happy to focus on the Western culture in which they live--not everyone has strong ties to their ancestral background!

He lived in NY, I lived in NJ, claimed he was always in the area on business but we didnt see each other often once our relationship began, seemed really sweet, always on the phone with me or either would IM me, always asking me if I was cheating on him or would I ever leave him, after about a few months or so I was thinking about breaking it off cause for various reasons, he ended up on jail on some bounced check charges so he said :rolleyes: and he wrote me a letter from JAIL saying that his WIFE was pregnant and soon to deliver their child among other things I am really trying to forget and that he loved me and he was sorry he kept that secret from me and still wanted us to be together and :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: . Whatever muasucker. I wrote him back and cursed him out and he was still writing me like everything was cool saying he was sorry and we still gonna be together. Then he was all trying to contact me when he got out, I never answered any of his calls or ims. I was in college, young and dumb, never again!
 
I did for a short time, an ex coworker of mine when I was in HS. I was really mean to him, and had my step dad tell him to leave me alone. He went out of his wasy to pursue me and was the sweetest guy ever, but at the time, I was annoyed by that (silly me but I was young) I feel really dumb now that I did that. :wallbash:

Saw him years later with his gf, and they looked in love and happy.
 
yes ( pre-mr.perfect28) he was chinese---my diva cabinet was like gasppppp--oh shiddd asian dude---dude runs a well known urban clothing brand here--but his pee-pee was almost non-existent---he was a great guy---but if your crayon isnt large and in charge--i cant do it...

sidebar- i do find japanese men very attractive---they r usually very smart- and sharp--and have very promising futures

one thing i will say with any foreigner but esp them--you have to know their culture--because they live and die by it usually--even if they say they dont

:perplexed this is what im afraid of. I'm dating him and someone else(from my previous thread) and I want to cut one loose. So far he's winning because he has many things going for him. So apparently it's true what they say about Asian men. What if they're half Asain/half Caucasian? :look:

Mine was a quarter italian, it really didnt help him at all in that department.
 
I have dated many Asian men, from many different nationalities. IME, if they are born here or at least raised here, then they'll be like any other man you'd encounter here.

BUT if they were born abroad, well. Be sure you know all about thier culture. Take a hard look... there may be a reason why those chicks will do anything to land a white man. :look:

And as far as the crayon goes... the biggest marker I have EVER sampled in my life :infatuated: was on a half Chinese/half Chamorro cat. He wasn't about nothing :nono: but the anatomy was like :shocked:
 
My son dates a Filipina that I helped to get the two together. I work with her and she turned into this really pushy b***ch. To think it was me who pushed her on him. :wallbash:

I dated a half chinese half black guy once. He was really cute. I don't think I would have gone out with him if he was full Chinese. We were teenagers. His family owned the local supermarket and several chinese restaurants so they were well off. He lived with his Chinese grandmother who did not like black people in her house. His first girlfriend left him because of his grandmother's racism. Dude was taken in when he was a baby by his Chinese family after his Dad died.

Everything was going good until he did a disappearing act. It turned out he robbed his family's supermarket at gunpoint and ran off. After the money ran out he returned to them and he was banished to some other family members in another part of the country. He was lucky they did not report him to the police. I always wondered what happened to him. It did not reach the point of me experiencing his ding-a-ling (not through lack of trying on his part) so I don't know if he was blessed or not.

My husband is half Filipino (his father is). Let me just say I'm a very 'happy wife'. He is a good man and a great husband too.
