i fear the same thing may happen to my roommate- i moved in close to three weeks ago, and she has yet to wash her hair. she "styles" it every day by brushing it up into a high ponytail using a boar bristle brush. she also leavs gobs and gobs of broken and shed hairs all over the room.

she does make sure to condition it every night, though... she has a huge vat of wal mart petroleum jelly and a bottle of pink oil that she uses faithfully!

what irks me is that she is past APL...

sorry... this is probably not the best outlet to vent about roommate issues!

I've seen some AA women with long hair but it looks very greased down, unmoving, and stringy looking. If you think about it your hair probably would have a good chance of growing long if you don't wash it often (because you aren't stripping it of it's natural moisture and oils), but not washing your hair at all (especially if you use a lot of heavy moisturizers and/or grease), is just plain wrong in my book.
