Essential Oils vs Aromatherapy oils - same difference?

I'm about to place an order at Puritan Pride, and was thinking of getting some essential oils. Using Rosemary as an example, I notice that on the PP site instead of saying essential oil, they use the term aromatherapy. Is this the same thing? Wouls it be effective on my hair?
