Well, I was supposed to be a long term transitioner but last Sunday (7/18/10) I took the plunge and did the BC! I couldn't stand looking at my scraggly relaxed ends any longer. On wash day, I took my trusty hair scissors that I bought years ago, let out a big sigh and started cutting.

I'm so glad that I did because not only does my hair look better, it feels better and is no longer breaking  I've been transitioning for about 14 months. I now have enough natural hair to put into a cute afro puff and I couldn't be happier. The good thing is that I placed a pic on my facebook page of my new cut and I've had so much positive feedback from my family and friends...I wasn't expecting that! :look:

I only have one pic uploaded of my new haircut so here it is...

I will upload more pics once I get home. Looks like I'm a thick, lush 4B! I'm excited to start growing out my hair the natural way! Thanks for viewing! :drunk:

ETA: here's my other pics I promised. The first is my hair in a cute puff air dried with product. The rest are my hair wet sans product.

Thanks ladies for all your positive feedback! I have HIH diesease right now touching all my newly discovered coils and curls! Like the little girl in Despicable Me says, "I's so fluffy!!!!" LOL

Your hair is beautiful. I love how much darker it looks in that pic. Beautiful contrast with your skin.

Congrats on your BC lady! Your hair looks gorgeous! So thick and healthy! You've got such great length now. Definitely have fun with this length now because it'll be grown out before you know it.

Thanks BamaBeauty! :drunk: As for skin regemin, I drink water and wash it with African Black Soap. I use shea Butter for moisturizing. Those two products works wonders on my my compexion! :yep:

Thanks! I hated to turn your thread into a skin fest, but I just had to ask! I will really have to look into the African Black Soap...perhaps I will PM you to see where you get it from...:yep:

Congratulations!! Your hair looks fantastic!!

I know it's hard, but be careful with that HIH disease! I still have it six months after my BC and I'll tell ya it can cause some pretty nasty tangles if you're not careful!

Can't wait to see more pics!:yep:

Here are a few more pics of my natural hair  Upon further inspection, I see that I have a definite curl pattern. I don't think I'm 4B, but 4A with a little bit of 3C thrown in there.

The first pic is my hair while dry, and picked out in a puff. the rest of the pics is my hair wet with no product. I'm in love with the curls and coils!
