I tried Elucence lye gentle on 3c hair and fine 4a/4b hair for 20min. and with 3c it was straight (had to do alot of smoothing), 4a it was texlaxed, 4b- didn't do a thing (fizzy fro). If you have 4b fine, I would suggest normal (like the instructions says). It didn't burn, which was unusual for a lye.
i got a no-lye elucence relaxer at a salon in pittsburgh two summers ago. it did not get my hair straight. and at the time my hair was really short and i was very upset bc it didn't really look like i had gotten a relaxer. my hair is coarse 4b. and the salon charged me like $120
Chayil, my stylist uses the Regular in Lye and I promise you its sooo great. My hair is very thick and it works puuurfect! Just try the lye in regular and I promise you'll love it.
