Has anyone tried this deep conditioner how did it work for you and how did you use it?
Any not so good results?
I wanna hear both sides to this product!

*if there's allready a thread just please post it here:)

I love it, i use it all the time for my DC before my co-wash. It works very well for my hair. I mix it with honey, and EVOO, and i sprinkle some shikakai and alma powders in it too.. its been working great for me.

i lubbbbb it too! i mix it with lustrasilk mango and shea butter cholesterol, EVOO and Mane and Tail condish for a real good deep condition!!!:yep:

I dislike this product but I dont hate it. I dislike the smell...It's a very thick creme almost and it gave my hair little to no slip BUT it did do its job as a moisturizing conditioner. Maybe I expected to highly for the product but I will only use it if I mixx it with some EVOO other than that the product is collecting dust. I heard the product works much better under heat maybe that will pose different results for me.

The ingredients are: Chamomille, Nettle, Balm Mint Leaf Oil, Coltsfoot Extract, Horse Chestnut Extract, Sage Leaf Extract, Rosemary Extract, Petroleum, Cetyel Alcohol, Cetromonium Chloride, Dimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Laurus Nobblis Oil, Orange Oil, Neroli Oil, Black Currant Seed Oil.

Its okay for me because the good ingredents are way at the top. the 1st 7 are great and then the Petroleum. I wish they would take that out of it and the Dimethicone, but other than that, i think its great!!

When I was deciding what to get I asked what was good he said that sillicon is number one and then that...so I went for the cheaper one lol

I used to really love it when i first joined the board. I have since discovered other things that I like better though. You'll prob have to try it for yourself.

Everyone raved about KeraCare Humecto in the tub and I was dying for it. Finally got it (a big ole $35 5lb tub) and absolutely HATED IT! I learned after that not to take raves so seriously.

I mixed it with a tablespoon of honey, a tablespoon of oil and about 3 tablespoons of water/aloe vera juice to thin it out a little :yep:

Ooooh thank you ladies!
I'm going to use it tonight and looks like I'm gonna mix it with some aloe vera honey and EVOO with heat. Thanks for the heads up about it not detangling.:)

We have identical stories!!! When I first came to the hair boards, I was looking for that magical hair product that would not make my hair shed. I used this DRP-11 and loved it. It was the nicest BSS product I've ever used. After using natural stuff and my own concoctions(which made my hair more fabu than anything I've ever used) I never replaced it. BUT like daephae, I bought the big ole bottle of ORS conditioner. I used it twice to realize I was shedding hair big time. Stopped using immediately, haven't turned back and NO shedding what so ever. Don't get the stuff others rave about, get what your hair likes...just my opinion.

Petroleum kills it for me... I've moved on in life from using products with petroleum and or mineral oil in them. I just don't see the need to move backwards when there are so many great natural products that cost the same are more effective and better for the health of your hair. :imo:

Lol pertaining to my siggy look at my profile I wrote it on the wall since I got so many questions about it.

...And I learned to go with what works with my hair. What works for one's here doesn't always work for all. I got glycerin after all the raves about it... My hair hates glycerin alone its too damn thick and sticky!

I love it, I just got through rinsing some out of my hair. It doesn't give the hair much slip but it strengthens and moisturizes my hair.

Lots of people didn't get correct instructions on how to use glycerin. Glycerin is NOT to be used alone. It's best when mixed half and half with water, better with distilled water. I learned that the hard way too. Try it like that and see if it's better. Your hair still might not like it, but that's the proper way to use glycerin. I didn't know at first either...:ohwell:

:down:HATE IT!...still on my quest for a moisturizing con and that on is difinately not it!!!!....Just sat on my head even with EVOO mixed in... i tried it on wet and dry hair. Second time I had to ad my trusty ORS replenishing to it...doesnt even deserve pre poo status... sry

The bolded is true. I tried using it without heat and :nono: it did NOTHING for my hair. I was going to chuck it. Good thing I tried it under the bonnet first. Now it's my go-to for DCing.

Okay ima have to post pone this till sunday night and I will post results I can't put pictures till we get our internet set up (we just moved)

Elasta QP DPR-11 has been in my regimen from the get go. I doesn't have slip but it does moisturize the hair and prevent breakage. I like it better when I mix it with something with slip i.e AtOne Botanical Reconstructor, EVOO & Honey.

IMO:I didn't like this conditioner at all. Absolutely no SLIP! Did nothing as a prepoo or deep condition. Total waste of time it was for me.

I HATED IT than I LOVED IT.

I tried to use it like regular conditioner, wet the hair and than condition... and it was horrible. My hair was so dry and tangled. Than I used it on dry hair. Pretty much put it on dry hair section by section and rinse it out about an hour later. I don't have a hooded dryer and I forgot my connector deep conditioning thing at my moms house.
Afterwads My hair is extremely soft and moisturized. I was also able to go through my dry hair pretty well detangling slightly with my fingers.

THIS CONDITIONER IS NOT FOR SLIP AND MAJOR DETANGLING. IT IS A DEEP CONDITIONE FOR SOFTNESS AND MOISTURE.

I love it. It does what it is supposed to do. Deep condition and moisturise.
