I just used this sample today and loved how it made my hair feel has anyone else used this? what were your results? do you know how often it can be used? TIA

I use this about every 4 weeks. I love this stuff. It's excellent, and has plenty of slip too. For me it's perfect as a follow up conditioner to the Aphogee or just as a conditioner post relaxer. i save this for special occasions..LOL

wow ...it gives you slip? I didn't notice that but then again my hair is on the thick side..........I have it and I haven't used it in a long while...6 months....
from what I remember...
-it was ok.
-I don't remember if I noticed less breakage
-I liked the consistancy of the product, it didn't dry out my hair butI did use a moisturizing con. afterwards
- I used it as a mild treatment, right now I think my hair needs "more" so I would probably use it 3 to 4 weeks after a relaxer...not at 7 or 8 weeks like I am now.

I am 15-18 weeks post relaxer and used the serum sample last night and it gave me amazing slip! I used it under a palstic cap for 15 min didn't comb it through just worked it through with my fingers and I put a hot towel on my head and when I went to wash it out my hair was super soft water hit my head like I had a perm! I am really thinking of buying it which is why I wanted to know how often to use it I agree it's probly a mild protein treatment I still need to find a strong one

i use it right after my relaxer. i put a capful on my hair (along with clear jazzing) and sit under a plastic cap and bonnet dryer for 10 minutes. gives great slip. and it is a good protein treatment for after relaxing that will not revert your relaxer. love it

I really like it as well. I'd say it is first runner up next to Nexxus emergencee.I use it as a protein treatment. I always follow with a moisturizing deep conditioner.

i have the elucence emrt which is suppose to be very similar and i never noticed slip. but i've only used it once. i cant wait to try it again and see.

Yes, try it again Bree, I always get slip with the Elucence EMR.

Try it again, my first experience with it was very weird it foamed and my hair felt hard. Now it is one of my prized possessions.

i feel so lost. please tell me what slip means. i purchased elasta qp oil moisturizer and it seems ok...i think i use too much of it though because it makes my hair puffy...i guess from being so wet. i heard that the mango butter was really good so i plan on trying that next. has anyone else tried the oil moisturizer and what do you think of it?

Slip just means ease of detangling and smoothness. The comb basically "slips" through your hair, without you having to stop and work through a ton of tangles, snarls, and snags.

I had used this serum last Saturday when I had done my touch up. I love this stuff. This was the first time I had used this line (along with the relaxer). The serum does leave your hair super soft. I don't know if any of you have tried their new intensive treatments shampoo, this is by far one of the best shampoo I have ever used. It has menthol in it and it really tingle and your scalp feels really clean without feeling strip. I also like their DPR-11 conditioner, it really leaves a great slip. If you are to purchase this serum, you should also purchase the intensive treamtments scalp stimulating shampoo.

I also like the Breakage Control Serum. I use it once every 4 weeks as well. It replaced Nexxus Emergencee for me.

LoveHair,

How did you like the relaxer? It's what I'll be using for my next touch up. Did you use the no-lye or lye? I bought the Extra Body No-Lye Regular. TIA.

i have noticed that people say they use it once every couple of weeks. is it okay to use it maybe twice a week? is something wrong with that? i may buy it this weekend.

shygurl, since it has protein in it, i would only use this product once a month or with every touch up. too much protein will lead to breakage. i know from experience because i loved the way this product detangled my hair so much that i used it once a week when i washed. after a couple months, my ends thinned out tremendously. set me back a good six months.

It is okay for weekly use--it doesn't have hardcore protein in it. (I use conditioners with protein every week--it's my preference)

oh my, i just tried the elucence emr again and
