Has anyone tried this?
I was thinking of using it and then I would follow up^with a moisturizing conditioner
Should I consider this as a hard protein like Aphogee?
Any ideas will be welcome

I never tried this myself but i have heard of this. the suggestion I always rmbr is be very careful to rinse in cool water or you will get scrambled eggs...ugh. lol

I once put an egg in my conditioner and my hair got so hard, and when I combed it it broke off, so I'll never try that again.

I've tried egg, oil mixture, it seemed to help strengthen my hair too, plus i wasn't able to get Aphogee from where I am. Just remember to rinse in COOL water. I can't stand the smell of egg, but it worked! HTH

did you use the whole egg or just the egg white?

Oh, yeah, you need to use a GOOD conditioneer afterwards to soften your hair again. A bit of trouble, but worth it to me.

I've read a few times that the structure of egg protein is too large to be adsorbed into the hair cuticle and I believe this.

I've used eggs on my hair before and it did not make my hair hard at all. When I allowed the eggs to dry onto my hair my hair became hard but as soon as I wet it again my hair softened up. I thought that the only benefits to using eggs were to increase the shine of your hair. Eggs contain a lot of fat and that helps to add shine, but the protein is too large to harden to your cuticle.

I’ve seen numerous links on the topic of egg protein being too large for hair adsorption. As soon as I find one of them I will post it.

I just tried this yesterday. It didn't do anything, so maybe I did it wrong.

I mixed one whole egg with equal parts conditioner and olive oil.
