EFA HOT OIL TREAT FOR DRY NEWGROWTH..ANY 4A/B

Ladies, i've been taking care of my hair as best as i possibly can, i use most of keracare stuff and s-curl to moisturise, i'm getting so fed up, whereas my relaxed hair is soft and moisturised, my newgrowth is just dry like the desert, i was wondering whether i should add an essential fatty acid to my hot oil treatment to help the dryness, has anyone tried using flaxseed oil or any other EFA? on their hair what were your results?

I've never tried this, but please post your results if you do! I'm curious to know if this will help because my newgrowth is dry also. :)

I take the EFA capsules with a big glass of water and it seems to work. Are you taking an EFA supplement? Or do you mean putting it directly on your hair?

I used the Aphogee EFA as a hot oil treatment in the beginning of my hair journey. I also mixed it in to my deep conditioners, I still have a tiny bit left. That tells me that I liked it, because if I don't like a product it doesn't get used up. :ohwell: I remember it working well for my hair which reminds me I need to re-up when I take this weave out.

I take EFA in capsule form sometimes, but i'm talking about adding it directly to the hair. I read many times that its good for dry hair/scalp problems and i was wondering whether i should try this on the hair itself

Do you remember what you liked about the oil? i have been considering using this for a while now.

I have used flaxseed oil on my hair/scalp (in areas where i had breakage). It helped to regrow that area at an accelerated rate. I have done this several times over the years. i'm a 3c/4a natural.

That's a darn good idea...I have the liquid efa in my refrigerator that I can't stand the taste of :barf: it never dawned on me to apply it directly to the scalp.

I use the Aphogee EFA as a hot oil and a pre-poo treatment under the dryer. I like it because I can use it by itself directly from the bottle. I don't have to mix anything else with it. It's also a great alternative to EVOO.

Yes! I was starting my texturizing experience when I starting using it, so dealing with the two textures, and the drier hair made it easier by using this the way that I did. When I needed extra moisture I would mix it in my conditioners and I had very little breakage.
