On break
I am losing enough natural hair to tangles and knots and searching and destroying that I am just about ready to admit that I might need to texturize or relax.
I have read and watched my eyeballs DRY researching and trying technique after technique for reducing tangling and knotting. My hair is SUPER DUPER fine and SUPER DUPER dense. With the amount of time and money and hair snipping I'm putting in, I can't tell if I'm winning with natural hair.
I made a list of things I would commit to trying before even considering texlaxing or relaxing. I'm just about at the end of my list of products to try. After that, it's on to treatments. I will try the nanosmoothing treatment and then henna treatments.
If none of this works, eek! I might try a texlax. Three years I've been on this natural hair journey, and while it's fun, it's getting a bit costly and has become VERY time consuming. I am optimistic that I can find balance again with my hair care regimen.
I'll try to remember to post back with before and after pics of the nanosmoothing treatment, slated for August 13th.
Thanks for "listening," and take care!
