I went for my touchup (I'll post a review later, I'm off the ORS bandwagon).
Anyway the stylist used a new conditioner that was quite nice. I raved about it so she promised to use it for my future wash n' sets
I of course wanted a bottle all to myself so I pretended to go to the bathroom and took a picture with my camera phone, that didn't work so I leaned back in my chair just far enough to get a shot of the bottle without falling over and humiliating myself. Well, I'm home and I found a website that sells it.
Unfortunately, one of the key ingrediets is "Cropure Earth-snail Extract". I'm hoping I didn't have my mouth open when she applied it. So, how many of you are going to run out and buy this? It's really good

What in da hell?! :look:

Dang, are people just looking at anything slick and using it on their hair?:lachen: How does one figure out that snail slime is a good conditioner?

This may help to understand the nail extract: http://www.elicina.com/ing-history-snail-cream.php

With all the artificial colors and sweeteners and other crap we take into our bodies, a conditioner like this seems fine to me.

We do get keratin protein and collagen from animals. People use Emu oil which comes from the animal. There are so many others.

No biggie. I am glad it worked for you girl. I would not let something like that worry me if I were you.

I agree with honeydtew. If it works for you, be he proud snail lady! ;)
(because i am not putting down my emu oil! So I guess i am the emu lady!)

interesting that the snail juice is wayyyy low in the ingredients list. It makes me wonder how effective it really is contributing to the product working so well.

Op, you leaning in your chair to get a pix:look: - that's all right.

If the stylist didnt keep hiding the product:yep:

But for real, if it's good enough to eat...:lick:

Hair:yep:

I bought this and the rinse from Sickbay. I am trying it tonight (pre-pooing as we "speak") and will report back with my results!

Snails? Like the other ladies said, we have put other not-so-great things in our bodies, so why not try emu oil, sperm whale and snail juice; what the heck! :lachen:

I have a lot of snails that hang around outside of my house; I bet I could make my own concoction of snail juice! Oh, Lawd! :spinning:

Ewwww!:lachen:She didn't say make your own juice. I say, if it makes your hair soft and conditioned and it's from animal secretion, go for it!:yep:

I mean really, what's the difference between snail "slime" and placenta or bone marrow products? There are so many things in nature that are beneficial not only to our hair, but our overall health if only we'd be open-minded. Our ancestors certainly used natural ingredients for everything. I think I'd rather use snail slime than some daggone yeast infection cream in my head, I don't care how good it's supposed to be :nono:! A woman has her limits...

BTW, I have the baba de caracol leave in and I like it for rollersets, but not a big fan overall.

Well, this product was certainly the best-smelling snail slime I ever smelled! (I'm basically saying I like the scent ). I pre-pooed with AO Honeysuckle Rose, washed with green CON, used the rinse, and then sat under my soft bonnet attachment with heat for 15-20 minutes. This is the most odd conditioner I've ever come across! Okay, my hair felt hard and like it was pretty dry, but I was able to comb through it decently. I rollerset with my KeraCare foam wrap, KeraCare leave-in, and some Silk Elements serum (couldn't find my Mizani Spradiance). Once it dried, it wasn't all that shiny or sleek, but it was moisturized. Overall, a good conditioner. I won't sell it, but I also won't go through the trouble of ordering it, again. Next week I'll be trying Silicon Mix...
