I'm going to the shop to get highlights. (a 10 pack on top) my hair is not relaxed.
Any ladies that are 4a/4b texlaxed or natural that have dyed hair that can offer advice?
I was thinking about doing an aphogee treatment before I go this weekend.
I know how damaging chemicals can be, I need to ensure my hair does not break off from the dye!

Yes, I hear Aveda is bomb when it comes to coloring. I did not get my hair colored from them, but rather by someone who has been doing my hair for several years. She is well-versed in natural hair and more importantly, she is well-versed in my hair. I didn't do anything special beforehand, but I definitely did start incorporating Aphogee 2-step treatment into my rountine (every 6 to 8 weeks). Babying your hair is a must...Highlights would be the first step (unlike me, I'm triple processed), but your hair can just as easily break off with highlights as any other color.
