How long does it take for a rinse to rinse out? Is it just one wash?

And does a jet black rinse leave any permanent darkening results at all on lightened hair even tho it's not permanent?

A rinse is a temporary color deposit and typically last about 6 shampoos... or more, depending on how often you wash your hair. Hope that helps.

i use rinses sometimes. honestly, every time i wash my hair for several wks i will see blue water lol. and yes, a rinse will usually always fully rinse out eventually. i have heard of lighter haired people (beyonce blondes and up) have permanent results but not the kind they want (hair looks dingy)

MY stylist told me to never rinse my hair jet black if I have any plans for going lighter in the future. Said the lighter color wont take and I'd have to grow it all out. That's all I know.

I use L'oreal Healthy Look Creme Color (in dark chocolate brown), and I believe it is semi-permanent, like most rinses. When I use this product my hair gets very dark brown but it has not gone totally back to the reddish brown it was before - again, this is just my experience. But it does not matter to me becauseI prefer my hair dark brown anyways. Maybe some ladies can suggest a temporary color that they have had a good experience with.

no, you can go light again. i did it all the time, with and with out bleach... i've dyed my hair so much i'm not sure how i still have hair all pre-lhcf of course. but because of my last lightening before joining i still have to rinse my hair black on a reg

that stuff is different from a rinse. i rinse literally does rinse out eventually (think jazzing at sallys) semi-perms last longer but eventually fade after a few months depending on the color under

Thanks ladies. I think I'm going to try a permanent dye in jet black then instead of a rinse. I just worry about it looking dull and having no shine...

I have done a black rinse in the past and it did rinse out in about 6-8 washes. However, I did a red rinse and will NEVER do it again. It never rinsed out all the way and I had to grow it out.

That was my experience belldandy. I accidently put in a black semi-permanent rinse by Rose from an Indian Grocery (thinking it was indigo and mixing it with henna). My hair was jet black. I called the company and was told that I should shampoo my hair 25 times and it will wash out. Well almost 1 year later I have two toned hair .

Now rinses like Jazzin etc, wash right out after about 6-8 weeks in my experience. I have not done it in a while though and I was relaxed when I did (not sure if that matters).
