Dumb question but what is henna and what is it for?

Me either but I gather it is a safer way to die your hair. I am looking for an alternative so a henna user get in here and give up the goods

Now that I've given you lots of research, the short answer is that I use henna to cover my grey, get Blinging shine, and to condition and stregthen my hair. That's the just the tip of the iceberg, henna has been awesome for my hair . . .
