Are magnetic rollers really magnetic?
Mine arent.
They don't stick to each other.
Please don't laugh. I'm serious and I'll feel bad.

I thought that it was just me!

I kept trying to "stick" the roller onto the clip and...nothing..

Thanks for asking that...I feel better. :drunk:

Girl, don't feel bad. I've wondered the same thing every time I looked at them..

ETA: OK. From what I've read, the reason why they are called "magnetic" rollers is because when used on wet hair, it looks like the hair is sticking to the roller.

WOW!

The word magnetic means possessing an ability to attract. While the actual rollers may not be attracted to each other or stick together from some magnetic field, I think they are called magnetic rollers because your hair is "attracted to" or sticks to the roller as you wrap/smooth your hair around the roller to set a curl.

Trust, I have wondered why they are called that before too. Glad to finally know the reason. I would've never figured that one out on my own. :spinning:

Don't feel bad..I've always wondered the same thing...I thought that maybe the clips should stick to the roller hence the name magnetic rollers:ohwell:

lol this is hilarious:lachen:. I was just in the store this morning looking at a pack of rollers and wondering the same thing . I was hoping this was the kind that macherie uses in her dvd so i could get off on the right foot and have the right tools

LMAO!

Thanks I don't feel so bad anymore.
Everytime I use them I try and put them together like they'll magically stick to each other.:lachen:

I thought it was the magnets in the roller that made some peoples hair come out so great looking:lol:

@Bizzy, yeah I thought I had bought the knockoff macherie rollers b/c I got mine from a beauty store for like 1.49 for a whole pack of 6 rollers.

I have always wondered this same thing. I figured they didn't stick to each other, but thought they were somehow attracted to the hair, however, since I always see people using the clips to secure the hair I wondered why if there were suppose to be magnetic. Thanks for clarifying:drunk:

yeah they were very inexpensive, had me wondering too!

LMAO!
