I hate when yall ignore me, Help me please. My hair is losing it's natural curl. I wonder if it's the henna.

Yes.

But for me, in the same way as you can over do other things.

When you don't need it, sometimes you can go overboard on anything.

I think too much henna can make you hair dry and you have to up your moisture.

I personally never get dried out by henna, but that is just me - I tend to over condition so henna evens things out for me.

But I can see how some would totally need to decrease their henna treatments.

In fact, it has been reported by some. I have heard of several ladies that went from weekly and bi weekly treatments to monthly or even less often because they did not need it that much.

Henna does loosen the curl for some. But not permanently. Maybe you should space out your treatments.

Yes, henna can loosen your curl pattern. How often are doing it? I know some people start off doing it once a week or so and then go to once a month.

MJ - No disrespect - have you read the henna thread honey? or done a search on Henna....there was a couple of threads about overload on henna.

You may also consider adding amla to your henna, it is slightly acidic and helps tighten the curl pattern a bit. It may help counteract curl loosening effect of henna.
I will also advice to consider spacing our your treatments a bit

I just ordered henna. I don't know the answer to your question. I wasn't planning on doing it that often. How often are you supposed to henna?

I hennaed 3 three weeks in a row to saturate my hair with color. It's seem straighter.

I didn't take it wrong and will search and read when I get home. Thanks
