hehe. yeah I just posted something that was actually constructive in another thread:) There are forty less people viewing now. Maybe humans beings are inheriently attracted to drama;)

But to answer your question, I'd say yeah cut them 1/4" with a good razor or shears. I read an article several years back, and they even mention not using "regular scissors" because they aren't sharp enough, and will cut the cuticle in such a blunt fashion that it'll allow for polluted air in the environment to seep into the cuticle:eek:

Girl you just had your cherry borken, no harm no foul  Now on to great hair advice!

Danny: Trim them ends girl, you won't regret it!

I agree on cutting the hair with good scissors. Now what drama are you talking about???? I have been off for a few hours and I missed everything:confused:

Dannygirl, when was the last time you trimmed? Naturals don't need to trim as often as relaxed heads...If there's no damage and you aren't wearing your hair straight, you might not need to. But it's up to you...

Trimming my hair usually makes me love my hair more!! Don't take too much off but maybe it'll make you enjoy your hair more as it grows out.

Oh you missed it? It was a doozy I'll tell you that. It was a thread started by me that some ladies took offense to, to say the least. I'll PM you about it since the moderator deleted to cut out the drama.

It was deleted. Now only if we can get 30+ pages in one single thread of valuable hair advice then I'd say we'll all be waist length by '08, tops.

I know it may seem weird, but I have to agree. I just like the way my hair combs after getting a fresh trim. I have been contemplating myself going to get a mini-trim this weekend.

But really, if you even admit that the ends look chewed off, trim it and get it over with. You will be happy you did. I think you'll be more enthusiastic about your hair rather than have to deal with the bad, chewed off ends....(but just make sure you trust the person doing the trimming)

well im getting rid of this ends cause i got my hair highlighted a year ago and well them suckers look bad and my hair grown on alot but still have that highlighted junk in them...

:( ya im going have to cause if i see them being cut after its grown a length ... i think id cry...

im wondering if its chewd up ends or my natrual hair through:ohwell:

I removed the thread. I thought I would be able to clean it up a bit and bring it back, but there was too much on it. I'm disappointed and annoyed at some of the responses in that thread. I wish folks could learn to just skip over things they didn't like. :ohwell:

:lachen: ya we talked about that didn't we? lol not worrying about the stars.. we dont need any fightin

While there is definitly a better way to engage these things, discussion like that are necessary in our community IMO. We do ourselves a disservice by brushing over it. I hope everyone learned something from it. Now perhaps if we could just work on our tact......

There is a better way to discuss this issue, but folks missed it by miles and miles on that thread. Some of the responses were down right tacky and uncalled for. There were some classy ladies on the thread who made their point tastefully. And yet others. . .

If we can't learn to speak to each other with some respect, these conversations don't have their place here. They may be necessary conversations, but I guarantee you that they won't take place here in that manner. :look:
