Has anyone tried this?

When I say "dry steaming" I mean just going under the steamer without product (ie. deep conditioner, treatment, prepoo or conditioner) then moisturized and sealed afterwards.

I was thinking of trying this and wanted to know if anyone already beat me to the punch.

BUMP
I wanna know because I'm in twists right now and I don't feel like washing and conditioning just yet but I'd like to use my steamer :)

I used to do it and my hair was still ok but with the right conditioner it was always a much better result.

Personally, I tried steaming on dry hair and my results were much better when I steamed on wet hair with conditioner applied.

Steam, is used to help the conditioner penetrate the hair strands, I can't see any benefit for your hair in performing a steam treatment on dry hair ... Nevertheless let us know how it goes if you decide to do it
