My hair looks greasy and I have been wearing it straight since I got a relaxer this past weekend.. The stylist sprayed oil sheen on it which has made it limp... Would dry shampoo help to ease the greasy look and is it safe on relaxed hair ?

Yes. Dry shampoo with cancel out any extra oils on your hair and scalp. After I dry shampoo my hair it has bounce and body again. Practically new lol!

I was cheap and used the Suave dry shampoo for around $3.00. It made my hair somewhat fluffier. I will see how it looks in the morning after sleeping in my wrap tonight.

I love dry shampoo. I wear my hair straight 2 weeks before washing and dry shampoo brings life right back into it if it gets oily and limp. It's like freshly shampoo'd again.

I love the spray in ones. Recently I found a diy made from cocoa and cornstarch. I love it. SO kept saying how great my hair smelled, I was surprised lol.

Can you use dry shampoo on braids? I bought the HE, dry shampoo & it made my braids & hairline turn white.

This was a great buy for me it extended my flat ironed look which was limp and too oily looking

I have a few dry shampoos, Oscar Blandi, Suave, etc. But I never tried them, I usually have to wash my hair 3 days after I have straightened it...... I will use it and see if it works, my scalp gets greasy by day 3.

I've been using this for years. My hair starts getting stringy by day 3/4. With dry shampoo, I can stretch it for almost a week.

Love dry shampoo! Makes limp straight hair look freshly flat ironed! I use the Suave brand, inexpensive and works great!

does dry shampoo clean your scalp?

My hair feels good but my scalp is naturally very oily after a few days.

It absorbs the excess oil from your hair and scalp. My hair always feels like new after a good dry shampoo session. Im trying to make my current blowout last a month so I will dry poo once a week

So all you do is spray the dry shampoo on your straight hair and then style as usual right? What about curly hair? Does it do anything for when your hair is in its natural state?

If you cannot run a brush through your naturally curly hair while dry I would not use dry shampoo as I'm pretty sure you're supposed to brush it out to get rid of the residue.

i use dry shampoo on my natural hair and it's fine. I use gel and it can build up after 2-3 days so i spray dry shampoo on the spots where the gel is. then i follow up with a moisturizer or styling cream. I do this because i don't want to keep washing a little bit of residue out of hair everytime. i don't like to wash my hair too many times during the week. so the dry shampoo holds me over until official wash day

Tresseme makes one for curly hair. I think it's a dry shampoo in mousse form. I'm guessing you scrunch it in. I've never used it. I don't think the regular spray ones would work well with natural hair.

I love dry shampoo on flat ironed hair. I use it every 5 or 6 days. The length is normally still bouncy around this time but the area near the roots starts to get flat & oily from the sebum traveling down. I like to use it at night before I wrap & I always wake up with hair that looks like a fresh press. I've only used the one by It's a 10. I love it because it has keratin. I do plan on trying a few from Batiste as well.
