No not the weather, my hair. UGGGGHHHHH!!! If someone were to strike a match it would only take a good 2 seconds for it to go up in flames.

But I refuse to wash my hair until tomorrow (when I'll finally get my shower filter) I'm going to do the motion's conditon wash regimine, only I'll be using Aubrey's Jojoba and Aloe Conditioner.

Wish me moisture....

I think that the AO Jojoba and Aloe is an excellent choice Kedala.

What shower filter did you get?

Kedala,

I know how you feel!!

I wore my hair out yesterday for church. I decided to tie my hair up when I got home. While I was combing my hair, my boyfriend said, "dang your hair must be dry, sounds like your raking leaves." My dryness can be attributed to the weather, and maybe also using to much foam wrapping lotion. I never know exactly how much to use. Hope your hair becomes softer with the added moisture.

Kasey,

Bed Bath and Beyond said that they have a variety of shower filters, so I'll be going by there tomorrow to see what brands they have. I have my heart set on a hand held. If they don't have what I'm looking for, God forbid, then I'll order the handheld sprite filter.

Compassion,

LOL. Your boyfriend sounds funny. 'Dry leaves' would be a good term to describe how my hair feels. I haven't combed it though, I've only been using my fingers. I'm afraid that if I were to comb it, the slightest pressure would cause my strands to snap. So I'm just biding my time.

You know when my hair was relaxed and I went through a dry spell this is what I did.

I would rinse and use a rinse out conditioner every morning. Then I applyed a mix of 911 leave in conditioner and castor oil to my damp hair, pull it back in a loose bun. I would do this untill I felt the moisture return to my hair.

I recently remembered that mix and decided to use it again on my naturl hair. My hair is so amazingly soft. This week I changed to Suave humectress with castor oil. Yes, the conditioner is intended to be rinsed out but so far it has done wonders for my hair.

Also I never put a comb through my hair, natural or not.

Hi Kedala, I got this tip from Sweetcocoa and I love it: if you can't/don't want to rinse your hair in the shower, misting your hair with distilled water has a similar effect. HTH.
Wishing you more moisture,
Nyambura

I was going to say the same thing...mist it followed by an oil you like or mixed with your favorite leave-in.
Moisture!
