Dry Braids....????

Hmmm I'm not sure if it's because of the transitioning weather or if I'm just going crazy but every few days I just feel like man...my braids feel majorly dry! On saturday night I did a wash with baking soda and acv and then followed through with a long DC with heat. Rinsed added some Cantu Shea butter leave in (this stuff is the best!) and sealed with lots o' coconut oil. Hair felt great soft all over. It was wet for like 2 days and I just didn't care because my hair is usually always wet anyway. Well today I go to take off my satin cap and its finally dry and it also feels dry :ohwell:. Yuck - I sprayed with my glycerin aloe juice mix and it felt better but still feels not so soft as usual. Any idea whats going on or ways to combat the new dryness. Btw I always have my satin cap on and I spray my hair 2x a day with the above mixture and seal.

How about doing the ACV after the DC. I always conclude my washes with ACVs so that my hair's cuticles are closed to seal in moisture. You did the ACV before the DC, and while I imagine the heat would still enable the conditioner to penetrate the strands to moisturize on the inside, I think you'd get better results if you didn't close cuticles until after the DC.
