I think I heard somewhere that there are dread locks that you can take out, like braids or twists. If that's true does anyone have any information about them? I have wondered what I would look like with them, not the big ones, but the smaller nicer looking ones that look like braids, and if they can come out, I might try it!

I think I know what you are talking about. I think they are called Sisterlocks or something along those lines. I don't know much about them but hopefully there is a member who is well-informed about them.

thanks miss wishes! im going to look up sister locks at my favorite website and favorite search engine [(yahoo.com) the one with the cow, for your searching needs feel free to stop by] I wish I got payed for that!

Hi,
There are braids that look like locs. They go by different names. If you go to http://www.nubiankinks.com/braids_leslie.html they discribe how they acheive it. I am getting this look for the summer. Sisterlocs are beautiful but they are pernament, I am not ready for them just yet. Locs can be removed but it is a long and lenghty process. If you are looking for the Sisterloc look, I think this is worth a try

I rocked the dreadlock look for a year on and off when I was natural- It's like a type of weave, it comes with tracks and everything. Usually you have to get it sewn like a full weave.I loved it. The longer it stays the better it looks.

I was allergic to the material that the locks were made of, so my stylist always had to wash them first before sewing it to my hair. - I've only seen this type of weave in Miami and NYC.
