Drag queen's not allowed in Pizza Hut

Here we go again (squeaky wheel gets the oil syndrome:rolleyes: )
http://www2.alabamas13.com/news/2011/jul/13/drag-queens-arent-welcome-pizza-hut-ar-2106188/

Notice this CA man tries to make this out to be a discrimination issue. He visited several times but did not make a purchase. Businesses expect you to eventually make a purchase you know... Bless his heart. I'm praying for him.

Okay... I am totally off topic here, please forgive me.

Prudent1... I just saw your siggy and how you demonstrated 'bra strap' level. I kept looking and looking and I finally figured it out.

NOW that's modesty. :yep:

It gave me a 'joyful' laugh ... :lachen: :lachen: :lachen:

On topic... about the article:

"Le' sigh"

Sometimes I think people are purposely 'looking' for reasons to complain and bring about untrue attacks upon their character.

Well... Come on, man. :nono: Just buy a slice of pizza, a soda or some bottled water, sit down, enjoy the air condtioning and eat with the rest of the people.

Now how hard is that? Where there's pizza, there's peace. Folks don't care what you wear or who you are. All that matters is the pepperoni on both sides, not just in the middle. :yep:

@Shimmie,
Yeah:giggle: OT, not b/c I'm uber bashful or something but I have never understood why on a forum full of women we have pics where the hair is not visible, barely visible or whatever:scratchch. Plus if you know you are pleasingly plump:giggle:, have stretch marks, rolls, or whatever, why you posting 'wit yo shirt off'?:spank:Just show us your hair please:look:.
Ok, y'all don't stone me:bricks::duck: that's just MHO.:blush:

:lachen: Prudent1 ... I'm not gonna' stone you... No indeed... It's hilarious (me) because it speaks volumes. And it took me more than a 'minute' to figure it out.

Girl !!! This picture speaks a million words. It's like ''Bam!" It makes a statement all on it's own.

All I can say is that your picture made my day. I didn't expect it. :lachen: And I love it.

I love you too, precious sister. I really do. Thanks for making my day. Girl, you just don't know.

Here's the truth: I never would have thought of doing this and it's so simple and so WISE. :yep:

But Prudent... knowing me, I probably would have forgotten that I had it on like that and would have gone out the door to the mall not realizing until errr' body saw me and then put it on YouTube and then someone would have posted on here and then I would have seen it and then .... :thud:

As Steve Urkel would say... "Did I do thaaaaat...'

Shimmie,
Ok, first the serious stuff... I love you too sis, truly I do. It is so awesome to be able to speak to a woman of like precious faith:yep:. Now lemme warn you, I am so silly IRL. Not the cornball stuff but I am good and silly. So, when I read this "I probably would have forgotten that I had it on like that and would have gone out the door to the mall..." I had to guffaw out loud. I'm sure the folks in the office are wondering why I laughed out loud like that:lachen:.

You guys are silly

Here I am thinking there's gonna be some serious debate in here and you all are going on about bra straps, guffaws, and walking out of the house like that lolz

Prudent1 that is a good idea, I have to remember that when I finally get anywhere near bsl

DaiseeDay,
It started out serious:yep:. It's just that anytime someone practicing an alternate lifestyle has anything normal happen to them, they cry foul. It makes it difficult to determine those who really need help. I'm talking those who are really being 'bashed'. I don't think bullying, harrassing, etc is ok no matter what but everytime something happens to you is not a cause to announce your sexuality. How is your sex life related to the matter at hand? Imma say this at the risk of losing my 'blackness' card, it's the same 'woe is me' scenario I've seen when AAs are railing about their 40 acres while sitting on a dung pile and making no effort to control things they are capable of controlling. Do we deserve the 40 acres? Yes. Should we expect them/ hold our breath? No. Jus sayin:look:.

lol DaiseeDay..

:lachen: !! Shimmie !

Sorry Prudent.. :yep: I did expect to read the discussion on the drag queen story but got sidetracked by your comments and ended up laughing that I had to log off. The irony of the thread title and your being modest with bsl pic was amusing  But, I love your siggy and the hair! :yep:

To comment on the news story..it was unbalanced and one-sided. Would've loved to see a Pizza Hut rep on camera and not just a statement from them via the reporter. So that says a lot about how serious an issue it is for the company. If PH does have a video proving their position of this man's antics, then it's a closed case and I feel the news crew may have used this opportunity to give dude a platform. Bless his heart. The other man who said that if he was to wear his kilt in public it 'bet not be a problem put a twist on things. Is wearing a kilt the same as dressing in drag? :look: Ah, well, let's keep this young man in prayer. He seems to like the attention he's getting., yet I had compassion for him because he really looked hurt. Folks in the restaurant may have been mean to him, and I don't see how that is a good thing, or acceptable.

Article:

Laela, Prudent1, DaiseeDay...

I do feel badly for the man :yep: and I do not wish to see anyone hurt, bullied, abused, or treated inhumanely. It not only hurts them, it hurts all of us, especially the heart of God who loves them far more than any measure in Heaven and in Earth.

As for all of this media attention and the pushes in legislation, for them to be accepted as a normal lifestyle, I just don't know how any of this can change for the LBGT community, simply because their lifestyle is not 'normal'. The only way they are going to have total acceptance is if the entire world becomes LBGT and that is NEVER going to happen. :nono:

I hope this doesn't sound uncaring. It's not the way I'm thinking. I truly feel sad for this man and others whose lives are like his.

What I do see occurring is the 'cry wolf' syndrome trumping over the legitimate cries of the LBGT. Right now, they are crying and suing over every iota that does not agree or accept their lifestyle. They want it their way or no way.

I remember the issue with eHarmony (the popular dating sight). Two gay men sued the founder of eHarmony because it did not 'cater' to gays.

Gee Whiz, It's a Christian website/dating service. Are Christians not allowed to have their own without having it infiltrated with an opposing lifestyle? There are plenty of gay websites... I'm sure, which cater to their lifestyle; and if not, they can create one.

How does this tie in with the thread topic? LBGT's are crying out about everything that opposes them. Well, they need to understand that it's not feasible. There's a natural law that will always oppose their lifestyle; it won't matter how much they achieve in legislation or 'fake' media. The laws of creation still prevail. No one can change that.

My heart prays for the deliverance and salvation for those want to break free from a life of heartache and bondage. They deserve to know and to see the goodness of the Lord and to know that there is a life far better than one where they do not belong.

Father save them...forgive them their trespasses, lead them not unto temptation, deliver them from all evil. Restore unto them a life of new creation, one in you; never again to be in deep bondage to sin. In Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

This might be a little off topic, but I was watching a news story on Good Morning America yesterday that made me SMH. They were talking about some new trend where boys are wearing pink now. They even did an experiment with four boys and had them choose between four shirts and four scooters, one of then being pink. The boys automatically gravitiated toward the other colors. But what ABC tried to do was blur the distinction between boys wearing pink clothes and wearing dresses and princess clothes. They asked them if they would wear a princess T-shirt and the young boys didn't fall for it. They said they would wear pink but wearing girls clothing was crossing the line.

 hair_rehab ... thanks for sharing this. :yep: It's keeping 'us' on top of things; 'Lack of Knowledge' will not be among us.

Regarding ABC's experiment:

Why are they harrassing little children like this? Children are not experients for gay defense and acceptance.

It 'seems' that they trying to disprove that boys are naturally designed and created to be heterosexuals.

How would they feel if someone did this to them, personally or even to their children? They are treating these innocent children like 'zoo' experiments and it needs to stop. Stop trying to castrate and feminize these boys and let them grow up to be strong men as God intended them to be.

And good for thiese boys who were not having it'... dressing up like a girl. Good for them for standing up for manhood. :cup:  :cup:

@Laela Yeah seriously Pizza Hut should have a fair chance to respond. Back in Jr.High a group of us kids used to hang out at Round Table after school, then one day they told us we couldn't anymore - obviously because we never bought anything. They're a business and they don't owe us anything.

@Prudent1 I totally agree with everything you said. I probably lost my "blackness" card a long time ago for my opinions :eyeroll:

@hair_rehab Yeah that's some craziness I'm glad the boys didn't fall for it - kind of makes the "experimenters" look silly, huh? And I don't know if this is anything new or if I'm just noticing it, but it seems like there's more criticism on girls being girly. Like if you wear makeup, do your hair, and dress nice people act like you're a bimbo and disgracing women.

@Shimmie Yeah men are supposed to be men. Take a stand boys! I agree, I don't want to see anyone hurt, but homosexuals are always crying foul. It's sad when people are bullied and especially those cases of people being bullied to death, but that happens to gays and non-gays alike. When people are always pulling the bullying card it causes real cases to get lost in the shuffle. It's also sad that they want you to tell them that their sin is not sin. And if they believe that, then they think there's something wrong with God, so it puts a huge hindrance on them being saved. So yes, we really should pray for them.

In an apologetics class we learned that part of the gay-agenda is to get people to accept that homosexuality is normal without thinking. I'm not buying into that propaganda. And I get so frustrated that not agreeing with them automatically makes you "hateful".

DaiseeDay

This is such a good post, filled with nothing but Truth and so eloquently stated. There is not one single word nor an 'air' of attack or lack of compassion, you simply shared the truth in reality and in love.

Thank you.

That's so eloquently said... whew... This been what's going on in this Forum for a while now (and IRL of course) There are those who are aware of Satan's devices and schemes and all they do is stand on the Word of God to get flack. It has absolutely nothing to do with not loving gays. It's a clear line in the proverbial sand, so to speak, to love God, love people. Christians who stand on the Word are called everything but a Child of God when we won't compromise the Word of God. Sin is sin, yada yada yada, is the most common rebuttal. Or, We're all God's Children. No..we're not. :nono: We're all God's Creation. Only those who return to God are His Children.

ROMANS 8 makes that distinction very clear:

14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[f] And by him we cry, “Abba,[g] Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

To argue this Scripture is to dispute/disagree with GOD Himself.

And, back to that news story.. don't even comprehend how it became a news story. Must've been a slow day in that town . The headline is misleading. One would think Pizza Huts all over the land won't allow drag queens, when it's one restaurant. Clearly, the young man has an issue with management there when he gladly gave the name of the manager.. lol. I agree with you and @Prudent about hanging around a business. Businesses are there to make $$ and if one is hanging around and not patronizing, the act becomes Loitering, which in and of itself is a crime. Sounds like that's what may have happened... but again, the news story is vague. The young man really just need prayer. It seems what he wears is more an issue for him than others and isn't convincing about being "free". I don't doubt he was harrassed in the restaurant, but seems like he brought that on himself.

In an apologetics class we learned that part of the gay-agenda is to get people to accept that homosexuality is normal without thinking. I'm not buying into that propaganda. And I get so frustrated that not agreeing with them automatically makes you "hateful".

DaiseeDay,
Sho' is good I identify as a Christian first before I am black, mom, woman, or anything else:giggle:.

@Laela, Shimmie, @hair_rehab, DaiseeDay

That's it:yep:. Bullying happens. Racism happens. Hatred happens. Crime happens. Stuff happens. It happens to everyone breathing. It has happened to me, is happening to me, will happen to me again. How I respond is another matter altogether. Who you have sex with very rarely has any bearing on the happenings. For ppl to make it seem as if there should be some type of exception:nono:. There are laws in place nearly everywhere on the planet that say the same things the 10 commandments say. I cannot go beat the crap out of someone simply b/c I felt like it and not have repercussions. But OMG let that someone be a lesbian and now that's my reason for the attack:rolleyes:. I shouldn't be attacking her period w/o cause. Do you know that in some recent tests between American students and Korean students in mathematics the Americans rated themselves as good in math. Yet their scores were very low when compared to same age kids on the golbal level. The Koreans rated themselves as not very good at math. Yet they scored the highest of any students. The conclusion was something I've said for years. We are good at making each other feel good in America but the truth is often not in any of these feel good sessions. Which leads me back to the young man who wanted to feel a certain way and be allowed to sit in the restaurant repeatedly w/o making purchases. When he didn't feel good, he cried foul. I know I am not the only person who sees this same 'you don't make me feel good so I'm not your friend:babyb:' type behavior from some folks in the workplace especially those under a certain age. Anyway, ITA, he needs prayer and some real agape love. I prayed for him before even posting this and several others.
