Don't you hate when you see black women with greased up hair?

Absolutely! I feel embarassed for them, but some of these girls don't look approachable enough for me to school them about anything :nono:

YES! I just wanna go over and tell her about LHCF, but I don't wanna offend anyone :ohwell:

It makes you want to sneak up behind them, wash it and condition it....real fast like a "Hair super hero".....!!:lachen:

When I see that all I can picture is someone sitting there getting their scalp greased!!! YUUUKKK! Or when it's so greasy it looks plastered down...ooooohhhh no!:nono:

Yup, sure do..I do not say a word as I've learned from those I see nearly daily that they only partially listen then go back to what the hair salon folk tell them:wallbash:...not what I have experienced or read here:grin:..Black women and hair is an explosive issue...I feel priviledged and blessed to be a part of this knowledgeable LHCF board...I feel so special to have discovered the simplicity of moisture and protein, scarves and the need to protect my hair daily and not be flying it in the harsh air. Grease is what they know and believe in.

lets not forget about the kids ladies

my cousin was greasing her daughters hair the other day in front of me after i told her hair grease is a no no
my thought as she was parting her hair and slicking on the grease *she's just killing that child's hair*

than they kill me when they ask me what are you doing to *my child's name *hair
i tell them i take there of her hair
they reply i take care of *there child's name * hair to but it does not look like *my child's name*

i try to tell them what could me causing there child's hair to fall out but they don't listen

Yeah, and if I'm in the store, and see them going for the grease I itch to say something, but I don't.

It irked me real badly the other day also when this lady was telling her daughter I'm assuming that she "needed" the super relaxer. The girl, who looked about 15 or 16, barely had any hair on her head. It was thin, dry, and breaking.

It really annoys me when people start preaching that gease make your hair grow despite the fact that your hair may be waist length, and theirs stays just about ear length. Denial is ridiculous.

I cannot stand when they have sooo much grease in their hair that it doesnt even move. :nono:They can turn around, do cart-wheels, whatever and their hair just sits there weighed down.

The kind where strands just clump together?

I haaaaate that!

That's just nasty! I don't really see a lot of hair like that here! I do see alot of dry dessert looking and broke off hair pulled into a little teeny tiny pony tail. Ten hairs in the pony too!:lachen::nono:

But I don't like to talk about people:nono:

*psf* yall dont know what yall talking bout. I KNOW Blue Magic grew my hair!:lachen:

But seriously, I remeber when I was a slave to grease and that was what I was told to do. In fact, I still have a half a jar left somewhere in my closet. Don't really know why I keep it ( I guess for nostalgic reasons?)

Oh yeah, I got an inch and a half of growth from dax last month.
I can't hate on it though. It made my hot comb pressed hair dead straight back in the day.

This thread is hilarious!:lachen:

I hate it when they bend their head down (like reading a book or something) and their hair just sticks straight out in back parallel to the ground. When I see that, I 'bout fall out laughing!:lachen:

One of my teammates hair is like this and when I see her in the hall at a distance looking down and fussing at one of the students-her hair is sticking up in the back like HELLO!

Somebody help 'em...

You have killed me  That is too funny. I see that too often over here :nono: sticking straight up and out in the back when they move around...

Please I got a friend who parts her daughter's hair and slicks on vaseline saying the girl's scalp is dry. And she wonders why the lil girl's hair is 5 inches long. Last time I asked her to put on my sulfur mix for me she put soooo much my hair was sticking to my scalp looking :busted:. I was so mad I had to go rewash my hair

I still have a jar of grease too! But I've upgraded to Coconut Grease. Sometimes I use it the day before my wash day to smooth down my hair a bit. I'm a bad girl!

Or when they use the black protein gel to "slick down the baby hairs". I saw a woman the other day who had SO much protein gel that her forehead had dried black crust on it. :nono:

or when they get one of those 27 or 1000 pieces and they scratch with that long index finger nail and you can hear those papers rustling underneath all loud.

I knew a girl who got her finger waves plastered to her forehead with that black gel and I asked her how she washed her face and she said that she just works around it (looking at me like that was a dumb question).

I'm dying...I remember there was one girl in my science class back in the day and she always had to move with a comb because when her hair would brush up on her uniform it would just stay bent...on some stretch armstrong, letter L-ish

Yeah! Like that girl w/ the brown gel and curling iron!! Who da heLL told her that was cute? Although it's long, it looks stringy and dirty...not boo...not cute:nono:! Now plagiarize that!
