...but to start all over! I am texlaxed/texturized and have been for so long. But unfortunately, I had my hair colored (rinse to black) for the first time, and my hair is now so damaged. My hair was doing great up until then. It's my fault because I know how fine/fragile my strands were but really wanted to try something new. Now my hair is falling out like crazy. You should see the clump of hair that came out tonight...

I've had long hair virtually all my life and now I may end up having to chop it. The type of hair I have, it will fall out from not touching up.

Feeling sad right now...

wow...u sound like me a year ago:( ...my hair is fine too...same: wanted to rinse ...texlaxed....all of what u said.....the rinse (Bigen oreintal blk) dryed my hair out so bad I had to cut it 3 inches:( ...I was pissed!...ok...here is the remedy (someone shared it with me AFTER I cut my hair:perplexed )...get some Terax Crema Conditioner(reconstructor)...leave on for 15 min, under plastic bag NO HEAT! I now use terax regularly...HTH:)

Im sorry to hear that! Will you just trim back the damage gradually or try to go for it at once?

Probably trim little by little. Guess the one good thing is that I am going back to school so no one will see me in my rough transition stage. Sometimes I wonder just how beautiful my hair would have been right now had I not ever put chemicals in it...

Is that sold at stores like Sally's or is it online?

It definitely online...Im not sure about Sally's but i know Sephora carries it...

Thank you so much!!!! Never again will I color my hair...never!!!!

I feel the same way:( ...I guess u have to learn from trial and error, unfortunately, what works for your hair..same here,coloring/dying/rinsing doe not do it 4 me either...and I was thinking of putting Henna/Indigo in my hair after my next relaxer...:ohwell:

I completely feel your pain!!

Just henna'd my hair last week and I absolutely hate the outcome. My hair is hard (I've moisturized three times since then), dry and has even broken in some areas. I just trimmed some of it tonight.

My hair is also very fragile and will break if you look at it the wrong way.
I'm texlaxed too. Maybe henna doesn't work on texlaxed hair. I doooo regret doing this.

See my post above. Will Terax work on my hair? I know that henna is a strong reconstructor, so is it necessary to do this all over again?

Is Terax like the Aphogee's or Nexxus Emergencee?

:( Im sorry to hear that hun...I feel ur pain.....just take the proper measures to take care and baby ur hair ..it wil grow back strong and long:)

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles...but girl at least try some of the tips in this thread before you chop...they've really worked for me:

http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=17553

I recently read this and used this process on friend whose hair looked like straw and was breaking and horrible. She was relaxed and dyed and dry breaking hair coming out in clumps. She was ready to cut when we tried this instead. It really works. You have to be consistent, but it does work.

Good luck to you.

Thank you! See this is why I love LHCF! I am heading to the store tomorrow.

I have no advice but how is your hair now? Is all better?

I hope so.

Thanks girl, not yet. But I'm definitely going to try some of the tips here and see how my hair does...

I tried this last night! My hair already feels better! I even lost less hair during the process. Definitely going to keep this up!
