Those shirts are gonna get somebody embarrassed. Most people don't really have the gorgeous hair that they THINK they do.

Awh! My old siggy is coming up in the world :lachen:

ETA: I just clicked the link and that's not my old siggy lol. The back of that shirt is a bit extra

I don't like the back. It's too serious and militant in tone for me so I'd never wear it

Did you guys see this Disclaimer at the bottom of the page

"Don't Touch My Hair! with the Hair Etiquette Guide
Don't Touch My Hair! with the Hair Etiquette Guide on the back. Tired of white people randomly touching your hair? Let them know in no uncertain terms and educate them a little in the process. White text looks best on dark color shirts. Brought to you by TheAngryBlackWoman.com
"

I've never had a white person try to touch my hair w/o permission, it's the unbelieving black folk to do this! lol

It's similar to the white girl wearing the I love my hair t-shirt. I guess these marketing people really don't think these things out.

this is a sincere question - why shouldn't white girls proclaim their love for their hair? what's wrong with that?

If Im not mistaken the shirt had the head of a woman with a really fierce afro, and was being modeled by a straight haired white woman.

20 months natural and loving it!

If the shirt only had "Don't Touch My Hair" I'd be all for it. The rules on the back are extra though...maybe if they weren't so serious it'd be okay

ahhhh.

i see it now. thanks.

That isn't completely correct. The "I love my hair" shirt had the muppet from the Sesame Street song on it...yes, it was a muppet with an afro, but still a muppet. The shirt was made by a company (Mighty Fine), and they only had like, 3-4 models for their entire site...and if I recall correctly, they were all white and there was one Asian chick. IMO (just my opinion), it would have been more offensive for them to hire a Black woman to model that shirt only, as it would be obviously different from the rest of the models on the site.

Although funny, I don't think I would were that shirt.

But what's with people and their fascination with natural hair. Sometimes, I really do feel like an animal at a petting zoo.

I'd like a shirt that says on the front:

"YES, IT IS!",

and on the back:

"NO YOU CAN'T!"

Answers the two most frequent questions coming and going without any extra stuff.
