What products do you think get slept on?

I think that queen helene cholesterol gets slept on big time. When you have newgrowth this stuff is a miracle. It also helps soften my hair after henna. The trick is you have to leave it on for atleast 20 mins with heat.

Sunsilk 24/7 cremes get slept on. For 3-4 bucks, they work very well as detangling leave-ins. I use the purple one and the pink one.

I've been eyeing the Sunsilk.

I think Kenra MC gets slept on. It used to be a forum favorite. Also PM Super Skinny. This is THE BEST smoothing line ever!

Go to the sunsilk website and get you some free samples.

Representin for White Rain Tropical Coconut - thick, creamy, moisturizing and smells nice...for a cheap price. I  it...forever and always.

shampoo_dtl_ccnutc_top.jpg
Add moisture to dry, brittle hair with White Rain® Tropical Coconut Conditioner. This rich creamy formula, containing a combination of unique ingredients, helps improve hair's texture and shine. It's pH-balanced and specially designed to leave hair soft and healthy looking

Almond oil. I think me and one other person on this forum uses it!:p

Whenever oils are mentioned, it's rarely brought up. Theres no other oil like it. Light and makes my hair sooooo soft!

You are so right Mona Lisa. I think it's not nearly as available as the ubiquitous Suave and VO5 cheapies, but there is no comparison. Suave and VO5 are kinda runny, which makes them ideal for co-washing but the White Rain is so thick when you turn the bottle upside down it just stays, it's so thick and yummy. I love it. :p

Ladies, what drugstores have you found this at? I've probably seen it a dozen times and paid it no mind. You make it sound delightful! :)

gymfreak - I requested my samples. Thank you!

Awapuhi Shampoo... I heard it mentioned once....if you want a non-drying shampoo, use this! It says it can double as body wash..thats how good it is!

baking soda!

i use it to exfoliate my skin, whiten my teeth, scour pots/pans, soften my feet during pedicures, clarify when mixed with shampoo, remove odors in fridge/freezer, mix with sparkling water to create club soda....

for .50 cents a box, it is a great all around product.

I agree with the Queen Helene. I also think that Proclaim Cholesterol gets slept on too. My mom uses this stuff and her hair thrives.

Maine N' Tail Shampoo and Conditioner - I don't see very many raves about this product but it is a staple of mine and I  it.

Baking Soda - I too use for my face, but I will give it a go as a clairfier.

Queen Helene Cholesterol - I mix mine w/ eggs, molasses, and EVOO

Doo-Gro Anti-Breakage Stimulating Moisturizer - The best stuff hands down. :)

Always Super-Gro Grease - Nothing like some good old mineral oil to lay this regrowth down.

Liv Hairdress. That creamy white stuff smells so nice and it is so good at moisturizing my ends. And you get such a huge amount for the price and it lasts forever.

I agree on the Queen Helene I was using the Lustersilk and this is so much better. Yummo!!! Its so thick. I use it as a prepoo and my hair has such great slip and its cheap too.

Wow, I really got to start maximizing the uses of that $0.50 box!!!
Thanks!

Queen Helene Cholesterol is the truth I have been using it for a month and it has been consistent. After I wash it lays all the NG down and softens it I LOVE IT and my hair is coarse so this is a STAPLE

My has been natural since the 70's and this is all she uses. I actually just picked up a jar for here since the sallys by my parents house was out.

I really enjoy this oil also. :) I was expecting it to smell like Almond but it doesn't.

I really enjoy the Kenra MC also. Good stuff!

I agree I love Mane and Tail Poo and Conditioner. The Conditoner I also use as a leave in and love it.

Jamaican Black Castor Oil

I add this stuff to EVERYTHING (conditioners, WGO, leave-ins, spray bottle, moisturizers). For my last rollerset, my hair came out looking thicker and very shiny...and the color even seemed a little darker/richer. My husband immediately noticed something different about my hair, and he hardly notices anything.

Castor Oil (the plain drug store type) has thicken my hair like crazy!

I took all my plaits out last night and laughed :lachen: when I looked in the mirror - my hair looked exactly like SIDE SHOW BOB from the Simpsons!

Since I wear an instant weave - this is not a problem.

I love this too and leave the cond in on wet hair and add a little oil and rollerset, hair drys quick and soft, silky and bouncy. I also use it just to air dry in a ponytail.

My staple Mendex Hair Repair Treatment. I think I am the only person on the forum that uses it regularly. I'm really not sure why no one else is as into it as I am, I use it for about half of all my washes.

Ok Cap, I can't leave you hanging, I'll have to try it ;) How do you use it?

I follow the directions on the bottle!!! It's a deep conditioner. I saturate my hair with it, and sit under the dryer 10--30 min depending on how much time I have. Sometimes I leave it on for a few hours after that. The formula cannot make your hair mushy. The result is detangled soft hair that rinses clean without a film or any kind of build up (I think you have fine hair like mine, so this is always a plus), and it also heals up any breakage I have. It comes in individual packs as well, so you can test it out first.

Thanks for the tip, I will have to pick that one up.
