Dominican Products in Atlanta

Ok ATL ladies. If you are interested in trying any wonderful Dominican products, I've located a place in Atlanta that sells them. Here is the info.

Amigo Groceries
189 N. Norcross-Tucker Rd
770-368-0014 (owner, George)

From 85 south, get off at Jimmy Carter and make left off the bridge and go two lights to get to Norcross Tucker. It's on the left.

I spoke with George today and he told me he didn't have all the products on-hand but he had some. However, if you just tell him what you need, he'll have it in a couple of days. He orders from Mimor (thanks for the lead Amethyst /images/graemlins/wink.gif ). After my wonderful experience with the tropical Avocado the other day, I just had to figure out a way to get my hands on some locally. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks Army. Just some more helpful info to add to my "Haircare in ATL" list. /images/graemlins/drunk.gif

You know Armyqt you ran across my mind today. I'm going to contact MIMOR because I have some questions I wanna ask, and I also was going to ask for a contact number and address in Georgia, so you and other Georgians can have local access to these products. So I come to the main forum and what do I see /images/graemlins/laugh.gif I'm glad you all now have a local contact. I'm also glad that you enjoyed the Avocado Conditioner. MIMOR is the United States distributor to every store all across the US who sells products made by Cosmeticos Tropical Dominicans. Yesterday I bought some Rosemary Oil made in the D.R. and distributed by MIMOR. On the bottle it says "stimulates hair growth and strengthens the roots." It only costs $3.99. The other oils I saw were Carrot, Cummin, and Garlic. I'll post my results in a couple of weeks regarding it.

Hey Amethyst, what was the brand name of those oils. I'm going to Atlanta this weekend to 'look around' /images/graemlins/sekret.gif lol. Maybe I'll pick up some of this oil to try. I currently get mine from my local health food store. But right now I'm really digging these DR products. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

The name on the bottle is

Extract of Rosemary
(in the middle of the jar is a pic of a leaf, then it says)Extracto de Romero

It's in a 2oz. jar. The smell is slightly strong but nothing to be alarmed at.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! I can not tell u what this means to me... THANK YOU, *** did I already say that?**

Hey, Amethyst and Armyqt-

Beware of some of those Dominican hair oils. Yes, they do have a lot of good ones (Rosemary, castor, Avocado, etc.) both you'll find that most Dominican hair oils ARE NOT PURE. They usually list vaseline, mineral oil, etc. as the main ingredient.

OOH /images/graemlins/blush.gifoo: Thanks for the heads up Blkmane. I'll definitely check the label first. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
