Does Your Stylist Comb Your Wet Hair From The Bottom Up?

This is the way it should be done, but my stylist doesn't. I'm so surprised. She should know this! I love her to death, but this just bothers me. Hopefully, I can just tell her and solve it that way.

The last time I went to a stylist she used a brush to detangle and she did do it from the bottom up which is good, but I would prefer she use a wide tooth comb. I wish I could have seen the brush after she was done to see how much of my hair was in it!

My stylist combs from root to tip. But she puts a detangling, creamy leave-in before she does it. Plus she parts and combs from the back to the top of my head as she does it. I still hate it though :(

Yes, but I've been to stylists that dont. I had to tell the black shampoo at the dominican salon that. If we know that, why don't they? And she had a RATTAIL comb at that.

In allmy life of going to different salons in different areas and sometimes different states, non of them comb from the bottom up. This is the part of the wash I always fear.

This should never be. It makes me wonder what their reasoning is...or maybe they don't think about it at all.

My stylist ALWAYS combs from the bottom up. She even warned me against combing from the root down (as if i didn't already know that). I like her b/c she tries to give him a lot of information that you guys already give me. I wonder if she's a member up here. :sekret:

OT: Chinagem, I love that commercial that your meaningful quotes are from! Is it not hilarious???

I've had stylists *attempt* to detangle from the root with a fine tooth comb with 11+ weeks of new growth! I've also had stylists use brushes to detangle from root to tip. After a couple of bad experiences, I started handing them my Jilbere de Paris shower comb and suggesting they detangle from bottom to top OR I just volunteer to do it myself. If I can be patient with my hair when I'm at home, they can too.

Does my stylist comb my wet hair from the bottom up? Of course, I do. LOL. I am the only one who touches my hair.:wink2:

OT: Yeah, that commercial is a trip.

I have two stylists that I visit depending on which city I'm in, but one uses a comb and starts and the very ends of my hair, while she firmly holds it close to the roots so that I don't feel any pain...I'm tender-headed. The other uses a brush, but she starts at the ends 1st....
