Does your sealer make your hair look greasy

mines do is there something wrong. I just use regular EVOO

I use casotr oil which is thick and heavy and my ends don't look "greasy"...have you tried using a little less EVOO?

Funny you posted this. I woke up this morning, looked in the mirror, and just shook my head. My hair looks soooo greasy! I've been bagging my ends every night with either protective breakfree or ORS and sealing with this african wonders type oil. By the end of the week, my hair is a true mess. I had to throw on a fall this morning! I think I need a better sealer. Ironically, my ends look the best when I seal with Vaseline but, of course, it looks the greasiest then too. I need to try the Castor oil.

Also try sweet almond oil! it's light and seems to absorb a little better w/o the greasy look.

I like sweet almond oil. It is easily absorbed by the hair shaft and gives a nice sheen, but not greasy. Jojoba is good too. Or even vitamin E oil.

Nope. I use Kemi Oyl or Proclaim Natural 7 Oil as my sealants. I only apply them to freshly washed hair ot hair that has been completely dried overnight.

Either your using too much of the product or the product your using is not absorbing all the way in your hair.

You can try other products like castor oil, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, etc.

I use Profectiv 3 in 1 Phase Oil and it absorbs into my hair PERFECTLY. Shine, swang, and softness. I don't have any residue with it. The key is only using a small amount. Even for my product heavy head that's all I need because it absorbs so well.

It also worked well back when I used to pin my wet hair into mini-buns at night. In the morning (well, early afternoon... my hair takes a long time to dry) the curls would be super soft with a nice, healthy shine.

You can find it in the gourmet section of the grocery store. That is where I bought mine. You can also find it at health food or vitamin shops.

Yep, I love all of these. I put jojoba oil on my crown area and do the ends with castor oil, for now. but I also have jars and bottles of coconut oiil and sweet almond oil...still, no greasies.

I recommend Jojoba oil. It's very light, but does the job. I've been using it for months, even before joining the board and learning about the moisturize then seal technique. Also, I find that with my hair, a little goes a long way. I don't need to be heavy-handed with any of my products. I also find that the less product I use, the better my hair looks!
