If so, tell me why you like it and if not, what expectations did it not meet.

I am curious because I have finally tried it and ...

bought it near the beginning of my transition.

they must have tweaked the formula a bit because that first bottle was a real stinker. i've bought 2 more since then - one for me and one for my mom and neither of them was stinky.

used it to help deal with the new growth - it did and still does make hair really soft but it can get oily/greasy - best when i used on wet hair. it can help softening hair especially new growth.

i always have a bottle of it laying around although i don't use it routinely.

it's a good oil.

whoops nearly forgot.........no, it was not a miracle growth oil!

I am not a fan of this oil. Mine is kinda stinky and it doesn't really do anything for me. No growth, not that I was really expecting any

I use this oil and typically mix it in with other hair products because I don't love the smell too much. I like all the different types of oils in the product, but have never expected *amazing* hair growth from it, but I do like it.

I used to use it a few years ago and it did help my hair grow a little faster but I was using it everyday. I noticed the growth better when I was in braids. Maybe it was because I was leaving my hair alone. The smell is not that bad anymore. I think they switched up the formula a few years ago. It has more of a peppermint smell to it. I have two bottles on stand by. I use it for a hot oil treatment once in a while.

yep--same for me

Funny I'm getting some growth with it. I just use it to seal in the moisture from my leave in and I'm getting little baby hair along my hairline that weren't there before.

Thanks Ladies! More comments please ...bumping...

I knew that this product would not grow hair. I went to the Wild Growth Hair Oil website before purchasing it and read the testimonials. I realized that it's use is intended to nurture and nourish the hair and scalp which helps to retain the hair; reduce or eliminate breakage and shedding.

I have been using it for 2 weeks now; following the instructions from the website, and I love the way my hair's texture and shine has come through. My natural color (dark, dusty brown, which I don't like by the way) appears to be deeper and more luxurious and my grays sparkle!

Has anyone noticed that their hair quality had improved when they used WGHO?

I have. I use it to manage my new growth, and it is just about the only thing that helps with detangling.

I use it on my scalp. Because my scalp can get very dry. It eliminates flakes, so it's a keeper for me. I use it also to seal moisture and it's one of the few product I use when I wear my hair straight. I don't use that much and I have those bottles for years. I hate the smell of it. I'll have to get some bottles soon, because I'm starting to run out of it. I don't see any extra growth from it, but it's a very good product. I give it a A-.

Nope, No growth. It's a little too thick and heavy for my hair so I only use it when I washed my hair and air dried. But I do get a lot of growth from Lenzi's Request. It's really good.

I love WGO, but not for the growth part. I never believed that...But it is an awesome hair oil in general. I use it on my hair when airdrying and it dries soft and shiny. I use it on my ends when I take my hair down from a wetset after it is dry. It leaves my hair so soft and doesn't weigh it down. I also use it nightly on my ends before rolling up my hair in solar rollers for the night. I occasionally mix it with BBD stretch on my ends when I need more moisture. I love this oil and everytime I stray from it, I come right back, because nothing beats it for me!

:clapping: That's it...that's the ticket! The results you experience are the same for me. I know the bottle is supposed to last a long time, but I don't think it will for me! I was amazed when I first started using it how much better my hair feels and looks!

I use it to manage the new growth. It makes my hair much more manageable and detangling it a breeze.....I tend to see more growth with the WGHO when I'm in braids.

It's too heavy for me to use on a daily basis, but I use it when I am in the later stages of stretching and I airdry my bun. It's good for managing my hair and making it lay down nicely and it also gives a great shine.

I am now in love with Dabur Vatika Oil for airdrying my bun, but WGO is still great for maintaining the crazy new growth. And yeah, a little drop will do ya!

WGHO is the best. It makes my hair really soft and shiny. Like the other posters, I use it to seal, especially when I'm airdrying. I wouldn't trust it as a growth aid, but it's good stuff anyway!

I bought a bottle a few years ago, and mine smelled normal. I didn't detect a bad odor whatsoever.

It's okay, but I didn't replace it because I found other oil blends that were clearer and better for my hair.

I have been using WGO since I started nursing my hair back to health a year ago. WGO and Surge-14 were my mainstays for several months and my hair thickened and grew more than it ever has in my life, even with a major setback. Can't say which one or if it was the combo, but something made my hair thicken and grow!

Just bought WGO today from SALLYs along with the APHOGEE 2 step protein:eek: treatment and the APHOGEE keratin 2 minute reconstructor. A little WGO was used at my front hairline and nape....wonderful softness and a wavy pattern result. I'm liking it so far; the smell...I like it, earthy, menthol like and kind of pleasant:confused:.

WGO is a WONDERFUL oil, my hair and scalp LOVE it. But, the smell literally turns my stomach out, and I stopped using it because of this. Last week, I went back to using it again, and that night, I couldn't sleep, I was so nauseous. I ended up washing my hair the following morning. So, I trashed it. No more stinky oil for me.
