It looks like a wig and does not look natural at all. Better off buying a wig, that way you can snatch it off when you wanna scratch that itch instead of patting your head. I noticed that the weave that looks the most natural tend to do a mix of the real hair with the faux. :yep:

So I got a Full sew in yesterday and I liked it ...

But when I woke up this morning I wanted to cry.. I looks like a wig... the bangs look so unnatural!!! I am so upset!!!!! Tell me what you think!!

The first pic is what I asked for and the other 3 is what I got! :nono::nono::nono:
Yes it looks like a wig but there is hope. First If I were you I would let someone cut layers in the front on each side and in the back just to make it look longer because the hair looks kind of short for the look that you wanted I personally think that you need a 12' or longer for this style. I used 12' an its pretty long only because I use remy hair its pricey but well worth it because it looks so natural. Second you need to flat iron to straighten it and just slightly bump the ends or you can wear it straight.

I love the shine and I always shine mine up before I leave the house but it looks good because I have quality hair but mine have layers cut through out and that makes a big difference you should get some layers cut and your bang thined out a bit and you should be good girl.

Hi

I think it look like a wig, but it does not look bad on you , but you can do a lot with it, cutting layer like everyone stated , and thin out your band , and maybe cutting some highlight hair and gluing them in the hair to uplift the shine off the black. I know how you feel when your hair is not right. Only a suggestion

awe, that is why i am scared of sew ins. if you don't like it, you're kind of stuck with it. It does look like a wig, but a cute one. It seems that the hair is so new and that's what makes it appear wiglike. Did you supply the hair or did they? What kind of hair is it? Did they split the tracks before applying them? All of those could be factors. Once you wash it and style it yourself it will probably look more natural and have some swang.

It does look like a wig. If I'm not mistaken ACV will get rid of the shine. It's still cute.

It is a little wiggish... but it's pretty. I had that same problem with a couple of my new wigs. I think all you need is a few layers or have your bang layered. Apple cider vinegar will reduce the shine.

Yeah, but depending on the stylist, you can get a very believable full sew-in without leaving any of your real hair out that doesn't look like a wig.

Case in point:

OT: I agree with those that suggested the layers. That will definitely help.

That's beautiful! If it's a full sew-in, how did you do the closure? Also your real hair looks like it's relaxed to look more like the tracts?

OP: Go to someone who can do precision cuts, and have them thin the hair with a razor (bangs, and all over thinning) don't let them cut it blunt with scissors. HTH

It is cute on you, and yes it does look like a wig. I know you were disappointed. Its hard when what you get doesn't meet your expectations. Spend a little time playing around with the look to personalize it more for you.

I agree with those that say get it styled, what kind of weave is that? is it not Human Hair? It will look good once you style it differently, or take it out and buy different weave. But I know money can be tight.

I think the style is cute. I think the choice of hair is what makes it possibly look like a wig. It is shinny. What kind of hair is that synthetic? Well what you can do is. wash the hair and it will take the shine away or just wait a week or so..the shine will eventually deminish. I would avoid using any oil on the hair, it will make the hair shinny.

Thanks! It's a full sew-in. She braided it in a circular pattern. This is how she closed it.

My hair is not relaxed. It's about 98% natural. I haven't relaxed in 2+ years. None of my hair is out so you can't tell.

Oh and another recommendation...get your scissors out and cut your bangs in vertically at the tips like 1/4 inch. that will take away the bluntness of the bangs and soften them a bit. You can also cut the front sides the same way to frame your face. It will be very cute. Here is an example of one of my weaves similar to your style.

You can go back to the stylist and have her to just cut the section out where the bang pieces and and she can add new pieces there and make it longer this time when she cuts.

Oops...I meant 98% natural.

It does look like a wig! I did a self sew in like this once, and I thought I was fly...until my sister and mother saw it and told me it looked like a wig! lol! I think that hairstyle flattery is #1. Make sure it adds umph to your face, not because it looks cute!

What about curling the sides to add some texture?

That might take away some of the shine. I think it's cute and it looks like all of your hair is protected.

Good idea- I think it can be saved that way
