Does the shape of your head dictate where you put your bun?

I know this sounds crazy, but I think since I have a long face and a tad big head, I cannot wear a high bun. I always wear it low, although I would love to be able to pull off a high bun. I feel like if I wear a high bun, it would make my already big and long head look even longer.

yeah....i have an oval shaped face, and i look like a flaming idiot with a big ole bun on top of my giant dome....but it also doesnt look that good when its too low in the back....

I definately have to consider the shape of my funky head when I wear buns! I have a somewhat flat head in the back and a long face. When I wear my hair high in the back, my hair compliments my face. By the say Digitalrain, your hair is absolutely beautiful!!! Your hair is my ultimate goal, you are an inspiration!!!

I say try it out. You could always take it down if you don't like the results. I've worn a high bun, but in most cases my are usually in the middle, not to high nor too low.

Yes! Unfortunately i'm not one of those lucky people who can just scrape their hair back in a bun and walk out the door without even thinking twice. I have to spend ages in the mirror every morning making sure it is not too high and not too low otherwise I just look odd.

This is the reason why I HATE HATE wearing buns/updos cos I know I look so much better with my hair down but I force myself too cos its the only way to get past shoulder length.

Its been 6 months now that I have been wearing this dreaded buns *sigh* honestly I don't know how I have done it.

Anyway I only planned to wear buns for one year so I'm half way there!!
