Does the brand of mn matter in terms of growth?

I have been using the equate brand (from Walmart) of miconazole nitrate for about 3 weeks and I have not seen the kind of results that the other members have talked about. My hair has grown somewhat but not much more than it would have if I hadn't been using it.
