Does sensitive scalp always=no lye?

I'm trying to figure out if the relaxer this lady used on me last time was lye or no lye. I believe it was Design Essentials and the jar said "sensitive scalp". I did not burn at all and my hair was very straight/felt good, nice and silky. Does anyone know right off hand?
