Does henna grow hair or just color hair?

I think I've read that it helps stop hair fall. Some hennas come mixed with other ayurveda powders that definitely promote growth and stop hair fall. There is a thread going now about one of those brands now.

Henna adds strength, shine and volume to hair. It does add a bit of color as well.

It does not grow hair. It aids in retention.
