i always hear this term "fortify" and i have NO idea what it means.. i looked the definition up and it says "to make stronger" so does that mean Protein? can someone help me out with this one :look:

Yep.:yep: I always 'classify': Fortifying, Strengthening, Reconstructive as some type of "Protein Based" Conditioners/DC'ers/Treatments. Even "Intensive" unless the product specifies Intensive Moisture Treatment or something like that. Otherwise, I will assume it contains protein-like properties

I know Garner fructis fortifying conditioner and matrix biolage fortifying conditioner has no protein. I would just flip over the bottle and look for keratin and stuff like that.

ingredients: water, cetearyl alcohol, dimethicone, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, behentrimonium chloride, lactic acid, fragrance, dipropylene glycol, amodimethicone, potassium chloride, gluconolactone, adipic acid, disodium EDTA, sodium sulfate, trehalose, DMDM Hydantoin, PEG-7 Propylheptyl Ether, PEG-150 Distearate, Centrimonium chloride, Menthylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Yellow 5, Red 33... *whew*
