I know this sounds crazy but I have noticed a boost in my hair growth since using cream of nature

. I have a lot of new growth, or at least more than usual, since my last relaxer one month ago. It may be because it is warm outside, I don't know. But the only thing to change in my regimen was switching to CON. I noticed that people I know who use CON have long, healthy hair but that may very well be a coincidence. I just wanted to throw that out there and see if anyone else noticed this or if I should just chalk it up to warmer weather.

When did u start taking that Super B Complex? It think that could be contributing to your growth now that it's in your system.

In addition to the warmer weather, it may also be the MOISTURE that you're getting from CON. Your hair was probably in need of some extra and now that it's getting it, it's thriving.

Just my opinion...

Im almost out of my Herbal Essence shampoo and I had bought some Creme of Nature and was thinking about selling it. I might keep it now!

Oh okay. I was thinking if u had taken it for a longer period of time, it would be in your system. So do u think its the Creme of nature making your hair grow?

There is something about Cream of Nature. I used it several years ago after using Suave products and then I discovered some of the Nexxus products. My hair looked pretty good with CON even with all the heat abuse I was doing. I was getting length too during those days. I'm not sure if CON makes hair grow (could be keeping the hair moisturized) but I remember liking it.

It's a staple for me. I'm not sure about growth, but I'm sure the fact that it detangles and moisturizes helps you retain your hair length.

One thing I noticed that Cream of Nature had in the ingredients was milk protein, which has lactic acid. not only does this remove buid-up from the scalp by removing dry flakes, but it restores your hair's pH which can prevent breakage. I use revlon's porosity control, which has the same ingredient, but I think that restoring pH levels to hair is really important for hair and scalp.

CON was the only shampoo that my mother ever used on my hair when I was growing up. It was also what my stylists used on my hair. My hair was extremely long when I was growing up. I don't know about making your hair grow, but it certainly doesn't hinder it.

I, personally always say that products we put on our hair won't make it grow faster....but I'm no expert.

I use a B Complex and CON and may hair has seen an improvement. But I don't think it made my hair grow faster, but gave it what it need for it to grow at the rate it should.

The B Complex helps your body to use food properly which helps to feed your body including your hair. The CON doesn't strip your hair like some shampoo could (although i do clarify every 3rd or 4th week with Pantene). The combination of those to things is nice fertile ground for your hair to grow.

DITTO! *wondering if I have been missing the boat, and should have gone back to CON*

I have a cousin in college who is also my best friend, so I buy all her hair stuff, and I want her to try the NTM line that most of us love so much but she refuses to use any other poo! The only time she will use another poo is when she gets a touch-up and has to neutralize. Being the PJ that I am, I keep trying but she's not having it.

Well, I have been using CON for YEARS. It was the only Shampoo my mom used for my hair. Also every time she would go to the hair dresser, that would be the number 1 shampoo everyone recommended. Also I didn't know up until about a month ago, that they actually have a deep conditioner. I've been looking for that for years!
As far as making your hair grow, I don't really know, but if so many people are using it, I mean...it must be the number 1 shampoo used by African Americans, you should continue.

Well I have been doing a little thinking. I think the cream of nature has helped with the breakage, helping me to retain my length. But, I forgot that for years my stylist was not basing my scalp before applying a lye relaxer
nono.gif
and the last time that happened was in december. My scalp always itched, especially in my weak spot. I have heard that relaxer can penetrate the scalp and this may have damaged the hair follicules underneath. I am wondering if now that my scalp has 'healed' my hair is resuming it's normal growth rate.

What do ya'll think?

Well, a healthy scalp does = healthy hair growth. Sounds like you might be on to something there!

I think CON contributes to your growth. I have been using it daily and noticed at least an inch of new growth in the past six weeks but I am also avoiding heat.

Go get it. Target sells it for $2.00 (8 oz.)

I think it's great that so many women are getting great results from CON. I personally loved it, until I decided to try 100 other products recommended on these boards. Now I find it hard to make time to use it. I plan on going back though. I loved how my hair felt washing it in, and how nice my hair felt washing it out. I still always need to follow up with a conditioner though.

Me wuvs wuvs Wuvs my CON

I dont think it grows hair. I do think that the detangler in it helps make detangling so easy that it helps you retain length by preventing the breakage that ususally occurs when you go to comb your hair out after shampooing
