Your siggy is very pretty. I co-wash up until I am 6 to 8 weeks post. I use to co-wash in the evenings and then bun and go to bed. Now I co- wash in the morning and bun. Occasionally I tease my hair and go or slide on a head band. I drop down to 1 or 2 a week washing at about 6 weeks post. My demacration line is very fragile at this point and I have to have minimal manipulation. I have learned how to stretch to 12 weeks and relax at this point. I may or may not use shampoo it just depends on how my hair feels. I seal with coconut grease daily so sometimes I have to use shampoo to remove the build up. I have maintained all of my length. I don't have slit ends and I have no breakage unless I start being to ruff with my hair. I have gotten about 3 inches in 4 months and my hair always feels and smells good.

cool! so it is ok.

I was wondering if it would ok if I wash my hair every other day without it falling out.

It won't fall out!:)

I wash my hair with shampoo every two days when it's cold out and co-wash every day during the summer.

Aww thanks!

That sounds like a good regimen you have going. so I guess I shouldn't shampoo everytime I wash huh?

I co wash everyday in the summer and do a CWC every other day in the fall. It keeps my hair moisturized and I get less breakage because I always are dry and use a leave-in.

I conditioner wash my hair every other day and it helps to keep it soft and smelling good. Just like the others in the summer I CW daily.

Your hair won't fall. If anything it will be even healthier because of all the moisture your getting. I think when 4a4b's hair falls out it is because their hair is drying out. Possibly they are not using products that moisturize after washing and they are not sealing the ends. The purpose of shampoo is to clean. If your rinsing and co-washing daily your hair isn't dirty. I sweat heavy when I sleep plus I seal with grease so I shampoo a few times a week. You have to go by what feels good to you.

I condition wash my hair everyday when I wear it in a wash and go style; I wash it with shampoo once or twice a week.

I cowash daily and shampoo whenever I feel I need it, usually once a week or so. I've been doing this for almost a couple of years now. I have very dry hair ordinarily and daily cowashing really helps with the moisture level.

In the summer time especially when it's really hot, I will conditioner wash every day. Not really because I need it, but b/c it keeps me cooler in the summer, and my hair really responds great to it. I just rinse out all the sweat and stuff daily, and my hair is so soft all the time. It does get more tangles, but I just end up re-doing it more often. I am a natural, so I just let it airdry.

Are any of your ladies natural? If so do you always wear you hair in protective styles? I wear my hair down everyday, rollerset once a week. I want to wear it up but my sides don't look right so I have to cover them up, If I wear a bun you can see my sides  Once they grow in more I will wear protective styles, I want to wash hair 2-3 times a week but don't want to rollerset that much

I'm natural, I don't wear protective styles. (That's one good thing about having shorter hair, no friction :D) Unless a ponytail/puff counts as a protective style...?

I've been cowashing my hair just about every day for the past month and my hair loves it. Actually, for about a week I was cowashing twice a day. I felt like I was addicted to cowashing my hair. I love the way it makes my hair feel moisturized. I shampooed my hair the other day and when I was done, it was sooo dry. I vowed to not shampoo my hair again unless it's something very mild. I can now see why most people on this board cowash.

Also, my hair hasn't been breaking from cowashing every day. I think it breaks easily when it's dry. It's good to be able to get in a good sweat at the gym then cowash after it.

I wash (shampoo or co-wash) daily or every other day. I may go longer without washing depending on the hairstyle I'm wearing. Other than cleanliness, my hair has benefited tremendously...my hair is more moisturized and elastic, silkier, and much less breakage, tangles, and splits. I also think it has something to do with the products I started using last month: Aussie Moist Conditioner and BB Oil Hair Lotion Moisturizer with Castor Oil & Aloe. And I occassionally use Infusim23 Leave-in treatment on my ends.

It is not advisable to wash with shampoo every day. Daily conditioner washing is fine, but daily shampooing will dry your hair out and require more manipulation.

how do you ladies dry your hair? air-dry, blow-dry, bonnet dry?

I always airdry. Bought myself a beautiful CHI blowdryer a year ago and have only used it once.:perplexed

i wash my hair every day. its stays so soft silky and moisturized that way, also i find i have virtually no tangles, because i dont give my hair and chance to tangle up at all. i did this all through my transition and my hair grew like a weed.

so no i wouldnt worry about ur hair falling out at all,,,

I cowash every single morning before work and let it dry during the day

i've come to find my natural hair dries a lot faster than my relaxed hair ever did

Mines is the other way around. I think my relaxed hair was porous. When my hair is out I wash it every 2-3 days. Sometimes I just rinse it in the morning and add leave in. When It's braided or weaved up I only wash once a week.

When I work out I co-wash every day. Normally I just co wash every other day. Although I have been co washing every day this past week because my hair has felt really dry.
