There was really no technique. I just trimmed off the rough feeling ends.

I have been trimming my own hair for the past couple of years. I actually do it quite regularly. It's usually more of a dusting than a trim. It keeps my hair looking healthy and I think it also actually grows faster. I don't trust many people to cut my hair. My last stylist did a great job of trimming without taking away the length. Any other stylist was too scissor happy.

OP thankx for asking this question cuz I've been dying to cut my own hair but haven't the slightest clue how. Can someone explain, detailed and/or visual on the search and destroy method?

I will definitely be looking into the splint ender and some scissors tomorrow cuz I'm experiencing some SERIOUS breakage.

Thank u guys...I think I'm goin to try to trim my own hair I'm goin to try to purchase the split endered sounds interesting..bc I will never let another stylist cut my hair again they just get to scissor happy!
