I use the Alma is a prepoo the smell makes me queasy kick it out. I have recently purchase the Alma lite for the first time love it smells divine.

I use the Dabur Amla and Vatika oils. I love them both. It is the truth that it smells like circus animals. It drives my SO out of any room I might be using it in. He says it smells like baby diaper. I can't argue but I love it just the same!

I am sitting here with some on my hair right now. (pre-poo) I just hate when I catch a whiff of it. :perplexed I want to try the lite. Thanks for the good review on the Lite's smell!

Dabur Amla Oil.

I use it as a prepoo. After I apply it to my hair, I massage my scalp. Since I clarify with every shampoo I don't have any build up. So far so good. Once this is all gone, I will probably purchase the one w/o mineral oil.

I Like the Dabur Amla oil, though my BF doesn't, so I use it when he's away or only overnight for a prepoo treatment. I'd use it more often if he wouldn't balk at the scent. :ohwell: So, instead for daily maintenance, I use Dabur Vatika Oil.

I've also taken to using Amla Powder w/Neutral Henna and Shikakai powers. I've noticed (as has my mom), a large reduction in hair breakage/shedding.

They are weekly treatments in my regimen now.

I know.. the smell is a turn off! It reminds me of my baby sister's funky diapers... hawt booboooo

I want to try some of this stuff. Does the Dabur Amla Oil Lite have mineral oil? Does it smell better? Do you get the same good effects as with using regular Dabur Amla Oil?

I've used it about 3 times as a pre poo which is once a week. the main reason i bought it was so that my hair would darken. I havent noticed any difference in my hair since using it. I will continue to use it until im finished the bottle and if I see no difference I wont buy it again. but the smell doesnt bother me though. Im thinking about trying the powder to darken my hair. maybe ill have more results with that.

If Dabur Alma has mineral oil in it, it's not listed as mineral oil...so if that's your concern, watch it. However nothing beats this stuff, smell and all. Nothing. It works. It does everything every says it does. I use it as a pre-poo and I use Vatika Oil as the daily moisturizer. However, after a shower a use plain ole Hollywood Castor Oil for softness on wet hair.

But Alma is the truth. And it makes the henna mix smoother and wash out easier.

I use the dark and the lite as leave in, hot oil conditioners, and in my daily spritz and cowash I add some.

I have been doing this for the last two months as well as using the Vatika oil and I have noticed my hair is more manageable and has grown.

I love Amla oil. I like the smell.... until it's been in for a few days... then it smells like a heaping helping of haaaaaaawt dayummmm. But honestly, it's very good for a pre-poo or as a leave in. I use the Dabur regular and it's darkened my hair some but not alot. :)
