I try to do it each time I D/C; my hair will usually respond well enough to about 2+ hours with a plastic cap (steaming is "meh" for me), but it's soooo soft and moisturized after an overnight application.

Me either! When I try to stretch a strand of hair it breaks immediately. No stretch at all. It’s always been like this no matter what I use to condition.
I’ve never tried to deep condition twice a week. Maybe I’ll try it and see if I can make a difference. This is interesting. My hair is actually very elastic. I would have to struggle to break a strand of my hair. It only became like that when I started DC'ing twice a week though.
do u use alot of products with protein in them? just wonderingI’ve never tried to deep condition twice a week. Maybe I’ll try it and see if I can make a difference.
No. I use a protein deep conditioner once every few months. I also henna about two-three times a year.do u use alot of products with protein in them? just wondering
oh okay... i thought you had too much protein in ur routine because you said it snaps easily. It may be out of balance though... Maybe it needs a bit more strength. Just thinking out loud... U know ur hair better than me.No. I use a protein deep conditioner once every few months. I also henna about two-three times a year.
Don’t you get buildup from that?I do ....every single time I wash my hair and I only wash about half the deep conditioner out and the rest stays in as my leave in. I also sit under the dryer for at least a half hour while deep conditioning.
@uofmpantherI do and have for years. I do it on dry hair, similar to a prepoo. I'm low porosity and I tend to use either a balanced DC or a moisture DC. Ive never gotten moisture overload.
