Lots of breakage when trying to wrap their hair? And when unwrapping and styling in the morning?By lots I mean like 10-15 hairs.

I just would like to know if I am not alone.

hey Im not sure if I wrap my hair right.... ANy help ladies....but when I do it my way I get some breakage...so any feed back on this would help both of us

it seems like the longer my hair gets, the more hair i lose when wrapping. i find that i can lessen it by putting a serum on before wrapping at night, and also after unwrapping but before combing in the morning.

Adrienne,

That is a brilliant idea! That's true--serums do make the comb "slide" more easily

Yes, I did a wet wrap last week and i almost cried when I saw the breakage. I don't think i'll be wrapping anymore, although I haven't been able to do the alternative wrapping that has been mentioned in other threads.

Yes, I do too get a lot of breakage so I'm only doing doobies now. I wash my hair twice a week so I've cut down to that. I am also seeing a lot of see through ends around manhattan and I'm positive it's due to wrapping.

I used to notice that. I try not to wrap my hair (I Only wet wrap it. By the way it leaves my hair looking DA BOMB!!! and I don't have to use a curling iron or nothing, and I'm talking 5 weeks into a relaxer when my hair is nothing less than tragic) but I keep my hair moisturized if its' dry then it will not get wrapped. Since I wash my hair every 4-5 days my hair is good. But when I used to wash my hair every 2 weeks there would be 10-15 strands a day. And sometimes I would wrap my hair 3-4 times a day in between classes (a big NO NO!!) But now I think with what I'm doing I won't be going down that road again.
