Do your edges ALWAYS have to be perfect?

when i had a perm my edges always had to be perfect and surprisingly that wasn't that difficult of a task
so when i first went natural i went crazy gelling, brushing, smothing my edges down trying to get them to lay flat all the time then I realized they were perfect... perfectly nappy and natural

If I really worried about my edges I would never be able to leave house after I was 8 weeks post. Some people know how to make their edges always tidy... some just done. I don't and i'm okay with it. Just happy I still have some
